30 Thirty

I ran through the door of my dorm, slowly closing the door, and holding my side in pain.
Fuck, they really got me.

I limped to the couch, finally sighing as I slump on it.
I take my jacket off, watching as the hole became visible through my jacket and my shirt.

Now bare chested, I stared down at the knife in my side.
This isn't normal.
I-this isn't normal at all.
Walking home, I randomly got stabbed.

I thought I recognized who, but they ran off before I could tell.
I get my phone out, hesitantly calling the ambulance, not wanting to die on my own couch.

I didn't call earlier because the ground was simply too filthy. I wasn't going to lay in my own blood.

Ten minutes later they were here, bringing a stretcher through my door.
With pain in my face, they gently set me on it, rolling me out into the cool air outside.

I looked around me.
Hundreds of students were outside, staring me down. Some held sympathy, ready to cry, but others who recognized me only sneered.

I could hear the whispers.
"He got what he deserved....."
"Little bitch probably tried to kill himself.."
"Fucker really got it coming......"
I really wanted to kill them all.

After I was placed in the back of the vehicle they gave me that face breathing mask piece of shit that I don't know the name of.

It made me drowsy as they started to work around the wound, making sure that it'll be a smooth removal surgery.

I finally felt my last moments awake, the world going dark suddenly.

I started to hear a beeping sound next to my left ear.
Feeling slightly confused, I tried to open my eyes in the dark room.

I realized they were open, and I slightly panicked.
"It's ok Jungkookie, it's ok."
I started to feel tears welling up in my eyes.
Grandma......

I heard a door open and shut, the slow click clacking of heels stopping right next to my bed.

They touched my hand, probably telling me that there was another person in the room.
They let go, and started to speak.

"Hello Jungkook, I am your nurse. I'm going to explain what happened to you and the after affects ok?"

I nod silently.
