Baby Steps (Aang)

Your POV

Aang and I were sitting outside, I was in between his legs, back against his chest as we watched Appa play with the other sky bisons. 

I had recently just got a glider but I don't even know how to use it... I felt stupid if I were to ask my boyfriend to teach me how to use it.

We're both Air benders I should know!

But it's really not as easy as it looks. There's a lot of control to use in it and just staying calm is not my specialty.

I brought out of my thoughts when I feel a kiss placed upon the back of my head, startling me. "Oh, sorry love." He mumbles against my head, chuckling a bit.

"You're fine, just scared me out of my thoughts." I laugh to myself, look up at him, kissing his nose.

"Want to fly with the bison?" He asks me and I freeze up. It's like he knew that's what I was thinking and now I'm gonna have to tell him I can't or something!

"Uh..." he pushes us up with his air bending, both of us standing now.  "I can't..." looking down at the ground, kicking the dirt in shame.

"What do you mean, you have your glider now." He gestured to the staff that was leaning against a rock next to his.

"Idontknowhowtouseit." I say really fast and almost in a whisper, basically mumbling the words so he couldn't hear what I said.

"Huh?" He tilts his head, confused.

"I don't know how to use the stupid glider!" Crossing my arms huffing as my face heats up. He stares at me for a second before chuckling, pulling me into a small kiss.

"Stop laughing at me." I pout after the kiss as he is trying not to laugh at me. "You're just cute, I can teach you how to use the glider." He takes my hand, going over to the rock and grabs the gliders, handing mine to me.

"I feel stupid." I mutter, staring at the stick that's in my hands. Aang shakes his head. "You gotta learn some how, {Y/n}. That doesn't make you stupid." He pulls me into his side, planting a kiss on my cheek as we go to a little cliff.

"What if I fall and mess up?" You as nervously, rubbing your sweaty palms on your pants.

"I'm here to catch you. And bring you back here. But you got this, now let me show you how to hold it." He twirls my staff, opening it into a glider, doing the same to his.

You watch his instructions and he grabs you and makes you put your hands where they're supposed to go. "Now glide through the air and stay calm, think of good things and if you need to use your airbending to keep yourself gliding through the air." He explains and You nod, puffing your chest out and letting out a deep sigh before standing at the edge of the cliff.

Your POV
I take a deep breath and grip the spots that Aang said to and I jump, falling a bit but I get the hang of it and start gliding, airbending myself up a bit more.

I hear Aang cheering my on but I look at the little crowd of our friends coming this way making me nervous and start to lose control.

Shoot shoot! Go up! What the heck! What do I do what do it do!

IM GOING DOWN!

"{Y/N} THINK OF GOOD THINGS! YOU GOT THIS!" My boyfriend yells, getting his glider ready, I take a deep breath calming myself down and thinking of well my boyfriend...

Thinking of his adorable smile, that helps me and brings me back up, oh my goodness that was horrible. I go back to the cliff and almost run into a rock but Aang gets there in time to grab my waist and help me.

"I should've taught you how to land first." He nervously laughs but I just drop the glider and pull him into a kiss.

"Thank you for teaching me." I whisper, hugging him.

"It was mostly you. You calmed yourself down. May I ask what you thought of when you did that?" He messes with with, letting me go.

"You, of course." I laugh as his face turns a bright shade of red making me laugh again and kiss him once again.
