Dolly sat down beside Judy and Kenny sat on the other side of her as his band members took turns telling stories of old times they had on the road and Dolly was particularly having a good time, even though she was missing her fur babies, but she knew her mama and daddy had everything under control.
"Did you apologize to the gal for leaving her truck on the side of the road?" Kenny asked as they all laughed.
"I did and she still told me it was over between us."
"I'd tell you it was over between us too if you left my truck on the side of the road too." Dolly said as they looked at her and back at Kenny.
"That's a big no no." Kenny said
"What's the worst thing Kenny has ever done to tick you off Dolly?"
She thought for a moment as nothing jumped right out.
"Nothing really. We don't really ever fight."
"Ever?"
"We have our usual spats, but that's it." Kenny said
"I'm surprised."
"Well, we're really close and it's hard to fight over something if it doesn't have an alternative beginning or ending, which going to bed mad is never the answer.''
"Not one thing?"
"It'll come to me, but right now, our little sprout is moving around and I have to use the restroom."
...
Later on that day, Kenny was in the middle of reading a magazine as Dolly was measuring the size of her bump.
"He or she has grown two more inches since the last time I measured my belly." Dolly said as she came and laid beside him.
"Well, keep growin' little one.''
"I can't wait for to feel him or her move around."
"It won't be long until we'll both be able to put a name to our little angel."
"I still like the names we picked out."
"Avie Lucille and Kenneth Ray Jr?"
"Do you still like them?"
"I do, I was just wonderin' if you had changed your mind."
"I haven't changed my mind at all."
"Good."
"So, where's our first stop gonna be at?"
"Atlanta, Georgia."
"What's down there?''
"There's a race down there this weekend and the guys wanna go watch it."
"Please tell me you're not goin' to race?''
"I did in the movie."
"That was different."
"Honey, I know you worry, but I'll be alright."
"And what am I supposed to do?"
"You and Judy always find yourselves doin' something."
"I lift a suitcase and you get onto me, but you racing is no big deal because I don't want you to get hurt."
"Dolly, nothing's gonna happen to me, I promise."
"You say that and next thing I know, I'll be raising our baby by myself."
"That'll never happen."
"I'm goin' to brush my teeth and go to bed." Dolly said as she tied her hair up in a bow and went to bruah her teeth.
