Luna woke up from her sweet weekend slumber with the loud noise coming downstairs, it was a Saturday, and after finishing her research paper and reviewing for an upcoming exam the following week, she was mentally exhausted.
"Ugh," she groaned, burying her head deeper into her pillow, hoping to block off the noise but to no avail. The stereo was playing to the tune of Neyo's Miss Independence, a playlist that she knew a little too well. Looks like her brother was trying to wake the entire neighborhood at 8 in the morning.
Luna was starving and despite her sleepy state, she went out of bed reluctantly for the sake of getting herself something to eat. Looking herself on the mirror, she couldn't help but cringe at her reflection. The dark circles under her eyes were prominent, her hair looks awful but knowing that her research papers were over, looking less awesome for the day doesn't sound as bad.
Ditching her fancy clothes for a dark blue hoody jacket that belongs to Toby and a pair of yoga pants, applying a thin gloss on her lips and she was ready to smack her brother head for blasting the stereo and waking her up. Grabbing her phone quickly, Luna made her way downstairs.
"Come on Ches, don't be such a drama queen!"
"Come on daddy Ches!"
"Shut up,"
Luna was regretting her idea of leaving her room in an instant, she knew those voice a little too well. The Bridgewood High School Football Team, the Bulldogs, and as much as she loves Caleb's football team, having them around was not the best thing that could happen on her supposedly peaceful weekend.
"Princess!" The Black Twins, Levi and Finn spotted her quickly, they were running her way and smothering her in between their huge bodies before she could even think of an escape.
"It's so not nice to see you too," she was trying her best to push the two of them away, but her small frame wasn't much of a help.
"We miss you!" they said in unison, the rest of the boys watching her poor attempt of escaping the twin's death grip.
So much for helping boys, she thought sarcastically. Wondering where's Caleb when she needed her the most.
"Hey, no hugging my sister!" Caleb was walking his way towards them, a plate of sandwich on his hand. The boys raising their hands in surrender as Caleb snatched her away from Levi and Finn.
"What's with you people and hugging me early in the morning!?" Luna complained but Caleb just ignored her as he kissed her head, giving the plate full of sandwich to Chester who winked at her. Caleb dragged her to the kitchen, where a plate of chicken sandwich and a glass of milk was waiting for her.
"Aren't you a bit grumpy today sister?" Luna was too preoccupied with her food to care about Caleb's mockery, she barely eaten dinner last night since Caleb went out with the boys, leaving her all alone.
"Slow down,"
"What are they doing in our house on a Saturday?" she asked as she picked another slice of chicken sandwich.
"We're having a party later," Luna immediately swallowed the whole sandwich before Caleb could finish his statement, "and yeah, mom said yes,"
"Did you just say party?"
"Yes, party,"
"Oh my gosh! FATAL will be there!" Luna beamed happily as she went running to her room ignoring Caleb's yelling that it was an exclusive Bridgewood party as if he can actually stop her and her friends from coming.
