the day went by and they later went home, star staying in her bedroom for majority of the night as she was really upset.

"hey star? you okay baby?" she heard madison's soft voice

"i could be better" she groaned, rolling over to face her.

"we're going to get takeout, you want anything?" she asked

"i'm just gonna have a nap, but no thanks, i'm not hungry" she sighed, shoving her head back into the pillow.

"okay, just call me if you need anything okay, i love you girl" she said, hugging her and walking out.

about an hour went by and she heard the girls arrive hone and a few other voices in the living room.

she then heard a knock on her door, attempting to shout 'its open' but her voice only creaked.

"hey, star, how you feeling?" she heard rudy's voice making her turn over to look at him

"oh star" he sighed, seeing her puffy eyes, smudged makeup and the total mess she was.

she sat up as he sat across the bed, holding her hand softly after hugging her.

"rudy what happened to your knuckles?" she asked, looking at his bruised and cut hands.

"nothing- it's from the gym- it's nothing" he shrugged.

"rudy i'm serious. what'd you do?" she asked, looking him in the eyes, he couldn't resist and told her the truth, he was never able to lie to her after she looked him dead in the eye.

"i got into a fight" he said

"who." she stated

"don't worry, it's nothing i'm fine" he shrugged

"rudy come on- was it noah" she asked, if clicking in her mind.

"wha- no- i- yeah" he stuttered, letting out a sigh

"rudy seriously?" she groaned

"who else did it? we're the guys with you?" she asked

"it doesn't matter who was with me, star, he deserved it after what he did to you, its breaking my heart seeing you so hurt" he said

"oh my fucking god- you didn't need to beat his ass up!" she said

"i really did- and it felt good to do it too" he admitted, chuckling a little

"don't- don't! don't even laugh- i'm trying to be mad at you right now" she said, looking away as a smile came upon her lips.

"you gotta admit- he really did deserve it" he said

"you're kinda right" she mumbled, her face leaving her hands to look at him.

"see no matter what happens, i can always make you smile" he said, winking at her.

"stop! i'm trying to be mad at you, you could've really gotten hurt" she sighed

"yeah but i didn't because pretty boy can't fight back for shit" he scoffed

"yeah but you still have a gnarly cut and bruise on your face, so obviously he got a hit or two back, rudy" she sighed

"come here, let me clean you up" she said, dragging him to the bathroom connected to her bedroom.

she instructed him to sit on the counter, her standing between his legs, putting the rubbing alcohol on the cotton pad, cleaning up the cut on his cheekbone and his knuckles.

"rudy- why'd you really do this? was it because of me?"she asked him, cleaning him up as he admires the small broken girl infront of him

"yeah, because he hurt you" he sighed

"nothings changed from high school has it, beating up guys for me" she smiled, looking up at him.

"it's always gonna be like that, nobody hurts my girl" he said, the two staring at eachother.

rudy slowly leaned in, kissing her and softly holding the side of her face as they kissed, only for her to pull away, freaking out a little

"shit- i'm sorry- that was a bad idea, you just got out of a relationship, i- i just couldn't help myself, fuck im stupid" he groaned, watching as she packed up the first aid kit.

"rudy- it's okay- it's just a little too soon, okay. calm down" she laughed a little as he freaked out.

"yeah okay- i'm sorry" he sighed

"the groups all here, by the way, they brought you some snacks and stuff if you wanted to say hi?" he said, jumping off the counter to stand beside her

she nodded as he walked out, quickly cleaning up herself and walking out to the living area where her friends all sat, austin and drew leaping up to hug her.

"hey star, i'm sorry" the two both said

"it's okay, you guys don't have to be sorry, i'm fine" she smiled, breaking up form the hug only to be swallowed into another group hug with everybody

"i love you guys" she smiled, a tear dropping as she was super happy with her new bestfriends and how supportive they were and loved her

"i love you!" they all each said

"okay! enough emotional shit before i start crying! we got a movie and snacks so let's chill!" maddie announced, putting on a movie on netflix, the guys and girls all arguing over what to watch until they finally all settled on one.

star sat between rudy and madison, testing her head on rudy's shoulder as they shared a blanket, his warm large hand gripping her thigh underneath, not in a sexual way but a comforting way.
