"A Girl is Handy Pt.2'

Peter and Madeline was silent as they headed back to the camp. Madeline wanted to thank Peter for taking care of her while she was unconscious, but she doesn't know how to do it. It's especially hard if the one you're going to thank is the same person who is the reason why she you had to go through it.

While, Peter silently observed the plants and trees. They were back to it's lively green colors. And he noticed the weather is perfectly fine. And it all depends on the health of the heart of Neverland, Madeline. All his hard work paid off.

The last week he was worried about Madeline fainting and it caused Neverland to rapture again. Turns out it was just Madeline's body adjusting. He can finally have a good sleep now.

Madeline didn't noticed they already reached camp when Peter shouted. "What the bloody hell happened here?!"

All the boys looked at Peter and they were scared. They just burned ten pieces of pancakes and burgers, twelve pieces of chicken wings and legs, and wasted butter, whipped cream, and maple syrup.

Madeline took a peak behind Peter's shoulders and her eyes widened. Turns out Peter and Felix stole food from Granny's Diner.

"Those are from Granny's, aren't they?" Madeline glared at Peter. "It was food. And you need food to survive. I don't care if it's stolen or what atleast it's food." Peter said.

"And now they're burned." Madeline retorted. "I didn't know they were gonna burn them." Peter gritted between his teeth.

Madeline rolled her eyes and went ro the troubled Lost Boys. They all stared at her, scared that she's going to yell at them too. She looked at them and some even had flour and butter in their faces. She sighed and shook her head.

"We're really sorry, ma'am." One of the boys said. He looked like he was the youngest. "What?"

"We don't really know how to cook those kind of foods Pan and Felix brought back to us. And now it was wasted." The boy said. Madeline bended down leveling the boy.

He had pancake flour on his cheeks and on his dirty blonde hair. Madeline reached out to him to wipe it off and he trembled, thinking she would hit him.

Even the other Lost Boys were surprised. It's not that Pan hits them, but because they wouldn't think of other people being kind to them. Amd Madeline was the first to show them kindness.

"Everything can be learned. I too, was a bad cook and burned almost everything I cook." She told them. "But I practiced and practiced until I can cook the same dishes they prepare. It just needs perseverance."

"Then can you teach us?" The Lost Boy asked. "Of course! I'll be glad to." She smiled. The little Lost Boy smiled and the sparkle on his brown eyes returned. The other Lost Boys looked excited too. They never have tasted those kind of foods and they can't imagine how delicious it would taste.

Peter watched as Madeline mingle with his Lost Boys. He was glad she knows how to handle them.

"That is, if there's anything left that is not burned?" Madeline asked. "Yes, the food supply we got can last a year. We just burned the supply good for a week." Felix said.

Madeline was surprised, "A year? How can uncooked chicken and burgers last up to a year without a fridge?"

"Uh, what's a fridge?" Felix asked. Madeline went quiet. Of course, how would they know what's a refrigerator is.

"We don't have any of those here in Neverland, love. We have magic here." Peter said. "Now you do your cooking lessons, I'll be back in the cabin." He went to cabin. Obviously going to get some sleep.

He just left me here. What an arse. Madeline rolled her eyes. "Um, your highness, how can you cook the white sand?" The same little boy tugged her blouse. She think he's referring to the flour.

She chuckled, "It's called flour, sweetie. And you can't cook it immediately, it needs to be mixed with water and butter."

The other Lost Boys said "Ooh" and it made Madeline laugh. She's glad she grew up with Snow and learned a lot of things. "And please, call me Madeline." They all nodded. "Now, before we start, can you all get yourselves clean, please?" They all saluted. "Aye, aye!" And it made Madeline laugh even more.

Felix woke Peter up. He decided to take a nap while Madeline was busy cooking with the Lost Boys. "Lunch is ready, Pan."

Peter got up and a tasty smell filled his senses. He got out of his cabin and saw Madeline preparing a long wooden table. In just a short period of time, she managed to make the camp look like it's having a children's party in a garden.

"She did all of this?" He asked Felix. "Uh, yes. And she totally got the trust of the boys now." Felix said. "You too?" Peter looked at him. "Uh- she's good."

Peter smirked and watched as Madeline turn the camp more homey looking. She was laughing and looked more lively. Scott, the little boy Madeline talked to earlier, wouldn't leave her side. While the other Lost Boys were busy showing off Madeline with their help.

They didn't even noticed Pan was already watching them. Maddie displayed the delicious dishes on the table. That's when she noticed Peter. "Oh, you're awake."

"Looks like all of you are having fun." He said, looking at them. The Lost Boys fell silent. "Uh, we were just setting up for lunch." Maddie said.

"But I didn't expect you to turn the camp into garden. And I wasn't informed we're having a children's party." Peter said, looking at the decorations. Madeline frowned. "I just tried to make it look nicer."

Peter looked at her and she was pouting her lips. He looked away when he looked at her too long. His eyes landed on the dishes she and the boys cooked.

Since it was already lunch, Madeline decided to change the menu. She prepared burger steak, chicken wings amd nuggets. Good thing Felix and Peter got mostly of the ingredients she needed, even it was stolen.

"Madeline doesn't burn what she cooks like Felix." Scott said. "Hey!" They all laughed. They all know Felix isn't really just meant to be a cook. Peter shook his head amd took a bite from the nugget.

All of them had their eyes on him, especially Madeline. She hopes Pan will like it. It's her way of saying welcome, afterall. Peter took his time chewing the tasty nugget. Then he looked at Madeline who was waiting for what he can say.

"A girl is handy, afterall." He said. The Lost Boys cheered. You don't get a compliment from Peter Pan everyday.

"Let me rephrase that for you, Pan. A redhead is surely handy." Madeline said. Peter, for the first time, smiled too.

"Let's dig in!" Scott shouted. And all of the Lost Boys helped themselves like starving animals. They all loved everything Madeline cooked and will love Madeline's stay at Neverland.

If she wishes to stay with them. With him.
