"The Undoing"

Madeline dashed as fast as she could through the thick trees of the forest. Something was chasing her. Something that scares her to death.

But she doesn't even know what it is. She just found herself running from it, her heart beating faster than ever.

She heard the scariest roar she could ever heard. And it made her speed up. But she stopped as she found a huge dark smoke coming towards her. She turned around, but the beast was also coming at her.

She doesn't know what to do and started crying. She was helpless. Until she heard her someone calling her name.

"Madeline!"

She turned her head around to see who it was. "Help! Please!" She screamed.

"Madeline! I'm here! I'm here, Madeline!"

"Wake up!"

Her eyes finally shot open. The first thing she saw, was Peter holding both of her arms, a concerned look all over his face. Then she noticed she was showered in her own sweat and tears.

"Are you alright?" Peter asked her. She slowly nodded. She sat on the bed as Peter grabbed a towel and gave it to her.

"What happened? You were suddenly screaming." She looked at Peter and immediately looked away from embarrassment. "I-I'm sorry. It was just a nightmare. The first one actually, after a very long time."

She usually have nightmares back when she was a child, and Snow would always comfort her when she did.

But now she's not around her.

"What was it?" She looked up at Peter. "Your nightmares. What was it about?"

She brought her knees to her chest, hugging them. She never really told anyone about her dreams, even to Snow White. She was just too scared to even remember it. Which was unlikely her.

"I... I don't really remember... All I know is I was... Scared." She said, avoiding Peter's eyes.

Peter knew she was lying, and didn't pushed the topic further. He knows she doesn't really want to talk about it. "It's just a nightmare. Just go back to sleep."

"I can't." Madeline said, still afraid of what she's going to dream again. "Of course you can." Peter tucked her hair, "I'll be right here to make sure you don't get another nightmare again."

Even Madeline didn't want to admit, but she surely felt safe whenever she's in his arms. Like she's free from all harm. "Um, c-can you sleep on the bed?" She asked.

"With me?"

Peter's eyes widened ever so slightly. Ever since she arrived, he let her sleep on his bed and him being on the couch.

"It's fine if-"

"I'll sleep with you." He cut her off. Now it was Madeline's eyes widened, surprised Pan actually agreed. "Really?"

Peter nodded. "Of course. Well, not if you change your mind." Madeline immediately straightened herself, "No, um, I-I won't."
