Skies of Darkness

T'al Ren asks Rey if he can sit next to her.

Rey turns her attention to the viewport. She gazes out the window at the retreating New Republic vessels. She tells T'al Ren that even if she tells him to go away he'll still do what he wants.

T'al Ren shrugs as he sarcastically tells her that its his nature. He sits across from Rey on the viewport. His posture mirroring her own.

Rey asks why he is bothering her.

T'al Ren tells her that Kylo Ren wants her to interrogate the captured New Republic soldiers.

Rey asks him why.

T'al Ren tells her that Master Kylo said that it is the last part of her training. To see what she's learned.

Rey scoffs at his words. She angrily tells him that HE doesn't trust her.

T'al Ren looks at Rey, then turns his head towards Serreno. He replies with almost a whisper, that Kylo Ren doesn't trust anyone. He goes on to say that for some reason Kylo Ren does trust HER.

Rey turns to T'al Ren with a confused look on her face. She looks away for a moment, then back to T'al Ren and asks if he trusts her.

T'al Ren turns to Rey and coldly asks Rey why does it matter.

Rey glares at him and returns her attention towards the planet. Annoyed by his statement she tells him to forget that she even asked.

T'al Ren chuckles as he jovially tells her that she's the only other person in the Knights of Ren that he does trust. He takes off his helmet. Revealing himself to be a human, with dark brown skin, black hair tied into small dreads, and a half goatee (his mustache is shaved yet he retains the hair under his chin and near the sides of his mouth).

Rey's eyes widen in shock as she looks at him. She tells him that he knows that it is forbidden for a Knight of Ren to be seen without their helmet on.

T'al Ren chuckles. He notes to her that Kylo Ren breaks that rule quite often. He also reminds her that she too has removed her helmet.

Rey tells him that the corridor that they're in isn't used often. She tells him, in a solemn voice, that even if someone comes by they won't see her as she turns her attention to the planet.

T'al Ren smiles. He lightheartedly comments that she's copying his own techniques now. He comments on how powerful she's grown since joining them.

Rey looks at T'al Ren. She tells him that it wasn't power she sought when she chose to join them. She spots an income transport ship out the corner of her eye and turn towards it.

T'al Ren turns his attention towards it as well. He lets out a surprised sigh. He asks her why did she join. He comments on that it may have something to do with finding her parents. He is about to ask her about her parents.

Rey glares at the transport. She angrily turns toward T'al Ren. The pupils in her eyes are yellow with a fiery red trim.

T'al Ren holds his hands up as if he's trying to put out a fire. He tells her to calm down and that he was just wondering. He tells her that they talk so often, yet she never talks about them.

Rey shouts at him. Demanding to know why he's really here with her. Her Force scream ability amplifying the fury in her voice and cracking the viewport glass.

T'al Ren tell her that Kylo Ren wants him to observe her interrogation methods; to see if she'd crack under pressure, or try and help them escape. He tells her that he's on her side and that he vouched for her dedication. He also tells her that he was worried about her and that that's why he came to see her.

Rey blinks. Her eyes return to normal. She glares at him for a moment. She angrily tells him that he doesn't care about her. That no one does, as she turns toward the transport.

T'al Ren tells her that he does care about her and that she's precious to him. He tells her that she's the only friend he has on the entire ship. He jokingly comments on how Hux is a very poor drinking companion and how Kylo Ren wouldn't know a good joke if it crawled up his garbage shoot.

Rey and T'al Ren share a laugh. They both turn their attention to the transport.

The transport lands in the hangar bay.

T'al Ren stands up and puts his helmet back on. He gives Rey a gentleman's courtsy and asks her shall we.

Rey smiles and grabs her helmet from the floor. She puts it on and tells him yes they shall. She cups her arm in his and they walk down the corridor.
