waffle house

This chapter will feature a lot of fluff; it's basically just Soojin and Shuhua traveling around the country while they make the journey to California. The main plot for this act will take a little while to take off, so bare with me please!

"I think you're holding the map wrong, love." Soojin laughed hysterically as she watched Shuhua's eyebrows crease, clearly confused on how to hold a map.

"This thing is ridiculous!" Shuhua huffed, as Soojin's smile remained, taking the map from the younger girl and turning it around.

"There we go. The ride is still for another hour, so we have some time to kill." Soojin explained, as Shuhua had her attention turned towards the map, fixing her glasses so that she could read it properly.

Seokjin and Namjoon had set them up with a list of things to do: 'Jin's list of fun tourist things in America!'

Their first mission was to make it to Florida, where Universal Studios awaited them. After the Hulk ride, they would come across this coin box, where they would drop the coins that they were given, and they would be able to virtually talk to their friends in Hell, to at least tell them that they survived.

After all, that's how Jin and Joon communicated with their son at harsh times.

Jin had hooked them up with subway tickets, to Soojin's pleasure, as the ride there wouldn't be that difficult, besides, she had a beautiful raven haired girl to keep her company.

"Are you excited for the theme park, Shu?" Soojin asked, as Shuhua nodded, her doe eyes widening in excitement as Soojin cooed at her girlfriend.

"How did I get so lucky?" Soojin thought, as Shuhua had leaned her head on her shoulder, snuggling into the older woman as Soojin put her arm around her shoulder.

"I've always wanted to go to something like that, but the leaders in Heaven were too prudish and didn't allow anything interesting." Shuhua responded, rolling her eyes as she remembers how boring Heaven really was.

"My mother used to talk about the mortal world when I was younger. She said that her great grandmother had married a demon, and thus our family's reign in Hell started." Soojin remembered, as Shuhua gasped, intrigued by the sudden memory.

"That's so cool!" Shuhua cheered, as Soojin smiled, admiring her lover, as Shuhua eventually dozed off, the sound of her breathing calming the girl next to her.

"I'll love her for as long as I live." Soojin smiled, as she dozed off too, letting sleep overtake them.

"What can I get for you?" The waitress asked, as Shuhua gazed at the menu, all of her favorite foods calling out to her; maybe she just really liked food.

"I'll get a chocolate milk and some pancakes!" Shuhua smiled, as the waitress nodded, smiling back at her, as Soojin cleared her throat, slamming her menu onto the table harshly.

"I'll get a chicken sandwich and some coffee, please." Soojin smiled grimly, as the waitress nodded again, this time, her face was blank, scurrying away to go place their orders.

"I can't believe I let you convince me to come to a Waffle House." Soojin sighed, as Shuhua smiled, the opposite of Soojin's bothered demeanor.

"We're in South Carolina, Jin. Why would I miss this opportunity?" Shuhua asked, as Soojin put her head down on the table; her head was hurting from Shuhua's cheekiness.

"We could have gone anywhere else, Shu. Not some restaurant where the waitress wants to fuck my girlfriend!" Soojin's volume raised, as Shuhua smacked her arm, embarrassed as the other people in the restaurant stared at them.

"Language, Soojin! I might as well as throw myself out of a window at this point." Shuhua scoffed, as Soojin laughed, eventually cracking a smile.

"That's if I don't throw you first." Soojin mocked, as Shuhua's hand raised, ready to hit the girl as their food came.

"Hello, the food is here! The pancakes are for you, and the chicken is for you! I hope you enjoy your meal!" The waitress put the food down in their respectives places, not before casually putting her hand on Shuhua's shoulder, slipping a piece of paper into her hand before Soojin could notice.

"Oh my god." Shuhua wanted to laugh, as she looked at the waitress, and then back at Soojin, who looked like she would snap any second now.

"I could fuck you nicely, you know." The girl whispered in Shuhua's ear, as the latter gasped, Soojin's gaze getting more annoyed by the second.

"Enjoy the meal." The waitress winked at Shuhua, leaving the table, as Shuhua blushed a bright red, making Soojin wary of what she might have said to her.

The meal itself was fine, as Shuhua munched on her pancakes, occasionally cracking a joke to her girlfriend that Soojin ended up laughing at.

However, she could no longer ignore the slip of paper in Shuhua's hand; she also needed to ask her what the lady had said to her.

"What is that?" Soojin asked, as Shuhua looked up from her food in confusion.

"What's what?" Shuhua retorted, innocently.

"The paper." Soojin pointed to the slip in her hand, Shuhua's face paling slightly.

"Oh, ha, nothing, I'll just----" Shuhua nervously laughed, getting cut off when Soojin snatched it out of her hand.

"Put it away." Shuhua finished, wincing when Soojin opened it roughly.

"What the fuck?!" Soojin's eyes were annoyed, as Shuhua fought the urge to laugh, her jealous girlfriend was a funny sight, despite the fact that she was the princess of Hell and that she could have anyone killed in two seconds.

Maybe that last part wasn't that funny.

"What did she say to you? The fuck is she talking about here?" Soojin barked, as Shuhua avoided her gaze, Soojin still staring at her intensely.

"I'll tell you when we get outside, Jin. You would kill her if I told you now." Shuhua sighed, as Soojin pouted, stabbing at her chicken angrily.

"Please take this check, we need to go right now." Shuhua ran up to the counter, slipping the money under the surface as she dragged Soojin as far away from the restaurant as possible.

"Can you tell me now?" Soojin asked, as Shuhua started laughing, stopping when she saw that Soojin was angry.

"Ahem, sorry. She said that she could 'fuck me nicely'." Shuhua hesitantly said, as she could have sworn Soojin's eyes turned red.

"I'm gonna fucking kill this bitch! Who the fuck does she think she is, messing with the Princess of Hell? That gap in her teeth could hold a damn river, and she's flirting with my girlfriend!" Soojin complained, as Shuhua fell onto the parking lot pavement, crying from laughing.

"The only one who can fuck you nicely is me, got it?" Soojin rasped, as Shuhua gulped, her tears being wiped as she and Soojin started walking to the nearest bus station.

Let's just say that the bus ride was nothing short of a load of tension.
