Miyeon stared up at her ceiling, groaning, as she pulled herself out of bed.
"7:00 am. Really?" She thought, as she slipped throughout her apartment, throwing some toast in the toaster.
Her fellow counsel members requested a meeting at 8:15 am, meaning that Miyeon had to get up way earlier than she should've.
While she hated the unnecessary aspect of rushing to the building at such an early time, she couldn't help but feel slightly on edge.
The counsel never ever requested meetings this early, at least not in the time that she's been appointed as an archangel.
"I hope this isn't important." Miyeon thought, as she shook her head, forcing herself to get rid of these thoughts, as she munched on her toast, now topped with avocado.
She looked at the newspaper that she picked up yesterday, frowning a little when she read the headline: Breaking News! There is a new fallen angel!
Weeks ago, an 18 year old girl (the counsel will not elaborate on this) was pronounced officially as a fallen angel. The trial was reported on by multiple outlets, but the demand around this case has risen, as some people don't agree with the counsel's decision, saying that love between the same sex shouldn't be a sin.
Let the paper know what you think!
"It shouldn't be, but this life isn't fair now, is it?" Miyeon thought, as she tossed her plates into the sink, walking into her bedroom to pick her attire for the day.
She settled on a navy blue blazer and a plain white blouse underneath it, with matching tight business pants. Her black heels clicked, as she walked out of her apartment with her handbag, as well as her sunglasses.
She opened the car door, to her nice BMW that she had saved up for. Placing her bag in the passenger's seat, (where Minnie should have been, or so she thought) she started the car, and drove all the way towards the counsel building.
"Hey, Yeon unnie." A girl called out, patting the office chair next to her, as Miyeon took the seat.
"Hi, Jen. How've you been lately? I'm sorry about the whole thing, really." Miyeon asked Jennie, as she recognized her from Lisa, Minnie's favorite cousin.
"Lisa's still crushed, honestly. I'm hanging in there, but Minnie's absence hasn't been great on us. I can't imagine how you must feel, you were so close to her." Jennie frowned, as Miyeon tapped her shoulder in support.
"I wish I could tell you that she's still alive, Jen. I know how much you miss her." Miyeon thought.
Jennie and Miyeon had both been appointed archangels during the same year, as they were both 19 years old. Miyeon assumed a higher rank, therefore Jennie wasn't allowed to go to the trial, to see her friend for one last time.
Jennie's "friend" (or so she calls it) Lisa, is Minnie's cousin, therefore both of the girls have known each other since their childhood.
Minnie, Jennie, Miyeon, and Lisa were all very close as kids, and even through teenage years.
"I'm doing alright. It hurts, but I've been drowning myself in work, which seems to be working for now." Miyeon lied back, although she felt slightly guilty.
"Everyone, I'm sorry for summoning you so early, but this meeting is extremely important." Park Bom, otherwise known as Queen of Heaven, sighed heavily, her throne providing support for her back, as she slid further down into her seat.
"Is everything alright, your majesty?" Lia, as Miyeon knew her, asked, concerned.
"The tension between Heaven and Hell hasn't ever been great, but now, it's worse than ever." Bom sighed, as Ryujin raised her hand.
"Why so? I thought we had less political fusion?" Ryujin asked, as Bom nodded.
"That is true, but the case of Minnie Yontararak has created some tension. The girl is still alive, somehow she survived the fall." Bom admitted, as Jennie gasped, putting her hand over her mouth.
"What?!" Jennie accidentally screeched, sitting back down after she composed herself.
Miyeon feigned a shocked expression, as the angels knew she was rather close to the girl as well.
"Why is there tension?" Miyeon asked, as the counsel looked at her.
"We want her back here, and the demons don't seem to understand that. It is true that she is half demon, but she was an angel first. Taeyeon is the only thing stopping us from ruling both realms." Bom answered, as Miyeon sat there, speechless.
"This is so messed up." Miyeon thought.
The prospect of only wanting her back for gossip disgusted her, although Jennie shared her grimace, while the other angels agreed wholeheartedly with their leader.
"That's a great idea, Queen!" Yuna chirped, as Bom smiled back at her.
"I know, my ideas are always great! Anyways, I brought a friend with me today. I've known her for a long time, and she will be your mentor on how to take on this plan." Bom announced, knocking on the door thrice, as a young looking woman walked into the room, a grim smile on her face.
"She looks familiar to me." Miyeon thought, as she observed the woman from head to toe. She had flowing black hair, and primarily pale skin. She wore an outfit similar to Miyeon's but in olive green, instead.
"Everyone, please listen attentively!" Bom asked, as she sat back down in her throne, giving the woman the spotlight.
"Can I talk to you afterwards?" Jennie whispered to Miyeon, who nodded.
"Hello, archangels. I am here to talk to you about the infiltration plan, our plan to take over both realms. As you know, Minnie Yontararak survived the fall to Hell, which most deemed impossible. Since she lived the impossible, she is our key to Hell.
We must do what it takes to get her here, although some people may get hurt in the process, unfortunately. The Queen of Hell has a daughter, and by getting to her, we can get to Taeyeon." The lady finished talking, as the other angels clapped, except for Miyeon and Jennie.
"What is your name, if I may ask?" Yeji questioned.
"Tian, Yeh Tian." Tian answered, as Miyeon's eyes widened.
"Shuhua's mother?!"
