I blinked open my eyes to the sun cascading over my face. I sat up, puzzled, and gazed around the unfamiliar den. Only one other cat laid in their nest, a mottled brown-and-ginger tom. Bangtail.

Where do I know him? Why do I know his name? And what kind of name is that?! I hurried out of the den in fear and halted just outside of it. This isn't ThunderClan!

The camp was laid out on a moor, on top of a hill by the looks of it. I could see the rest of the territories from where I stood, which was just outside a hole in the hill, where the den was built. I looked up and behind me and seen that the hill went up quite a lot and stopped at a flat point. My mind recognized it to be a medicine den, since there was a wide rock with a wide hole underneath. It was kind of steep, and I wondered how the injured were supposed to get there.

I looked back forward and jumped in fear as Poledance stood in front of me. I didn't understand how I knew her name - and her rank, which was medicine cat - but I went along with everything my brain told me anyway.

"Are you okay? You seem confused. Why don't you come with me to The Underground to relax. Eat this, StonerClan is generous and gave us some herbs." She mewed with a look of kindness. It was some sort of Catmint, and after licking it up, I looked up at the she-cat.

Without much of a choice, I followed close behind her as she led the way out of the camp and down the steep hill. I didn't know what to expect, my brain didn't have any information this "The Underground".

The path was more dirt than grass since cats used it over and over. And instead of going the full way down it, Poledance stopped half way and turned right into a wide hole in the hill. I didn't even have to duck it was so well dug. The smell of foxes, dogs, and badgers hit me like a monster and I tried my hardest not to gag.

There was light shining down from the top from what seemed to be holes that went through to the outside of the hill. Creative for a stupid Clan. I thought with narrowed eyes.

I looked back down and almost jumped out of my fur as I seen there really was foxes, badgers, and dogs all around The Underground. I then relaxed as I noticed they were all talking among one another and not killing the she-cats that were hanging around. Am I insane?! They can't talk to us! What did Poledance give me?

"Hey, Sandycrotch, why don't ya come on over here and gimme somethin' sweet?" A dog howled, gesturing with his fluffy black tail for me to come over. Another black tail-less dog nodded with a smirk on his huge head, his spiked collar fitting perfectly around his muscular neck. A slender ginger fox finished the triangle, but he didn't seem too interested in me. He was calling over a she-cat I came to remember as Twerklegs.

"I said come over here." The dog growled, eyes menacing. I shook my head and trotted after Poledance, who was stepping on top of a stump. I didn't know how in the name of DeadClan that got there, but it didn't have roots anymore. I wondered if it was fake.

DeadClan? What about... SkyClan? No... CloudClan? No it starts with a 'S'... Oh no... "Sandycrotch!" Poledance called. She was spinning around on a thick stick that was connected from the ceiling to the stump.

Shaking her butt, she grabbed onto the stick and spun around, her tail wrapped around it while calling, "Come and try out, you tried it before and we got plenty of herbs. You'll forget about whatever you were worrying about, too!" She flicked her tail mid-spin toward the empty stump.

What kind of medicine cat is she?! What kind of world do I live in?!

Knowing that I either got to fool around with those dogs or dance on the stick, I decided to go with the stick.

I padded around Poledance's stump and hopped onto the empty one. The dogs, foxes, and badgers called out to Poledance and I with "woo's" and whistles.

With my heart in my throat, I did what Poledance did but the opposite way. By then, the herbs had taken affect and I was careless and confident. And then I blacked out.

I woke up back in the clearing, sprawled out and drooling. Dazzed, I sat up quickly. My lower body was in extreme pain and I had no memory of what happened in The Underground.

The sun was going down now and I looked around for Poledance. I was in so much pain I didn't even want to stand.

Looking around, there were no apprentices in sight, only Tismcgeestar, Herpesmouth, Crabsleg, Asswart and MaybeIamyodaddystripe were in the camp. Either Poledance was in The Underground or she was in her den. I shook my head.

The moor reminded me of another Clan that I knew I hadn't live in. My heart ached.

Can I remember my old home? Four Clans... My mate died... What was his name? Why can I remember these foolish names and not my old mates? Oh great DeadClan no...
