"Ate naman, Sagutin mo na daw tawag nila Mama." Krixia said with frustration.

Kakadating niya lang dito sa apartment ko at 'yan agad ang bungad niya sa'kin.

" And what? Pipilitin nila ako sa kasal na 'yon? You know I don't want that." I said as i was sweeping the floor. It's a saturday and i consider it mandatory cleaning day.

"Pero ate may reason naman kung bakit sila pumayag doon." She said with a low voice. Napatingin ako sa kanya. So she knew?

"Care to tell me then?" I stop what I was doing and sat next to her on the couch. I was looking at her intently and she was just looking at her thumbs. "So all this time alam mo ang tungkol dito pero wala kang sinabi sakin?!" Tumaas ang boses ko sa huling sinabi. Ito nanaman yung pakiramdam na pinagkaisahan nila ako.

"Hindi naman kasi ganun yun, okay ahm... calm down first then sasabihin ko sa'yo ang lahat." She stands up and got me a glass of water. I drank it and once i put the glass on the table she started explaining.

"Okay here it goes. Do you remember when Mama and Papa went to Papa's college reunion in Malay ?" I nodded, " Well they didn't exactly go to the Reunion , they went to the Guerrero's Ancestral Home kung saan Nakatira si Don Magnus Guerrero. The person you met last Tuesday was his son, Uncle Atticus. Mama and Papa we're invited by Don Magnus, He told Mama and Papa that Lolo Roman was his Best friend and they had an Agreement before that they will mary off their son and daughter but they both had Son's that's why their plan wasn't put into action. Don Magnus also know's that our business is not doing well that's wh--"

"What ?!" I blurted out in a shocked tone, i jolted out of my seat, " what do you mean our business is not doing well? Bakit hindi ko 'to alam?"

"Ayaw nila ipalam sa'tin 'to kasi nga ayaw nila mag alala tayo but nothing's going right. Some investors have already talked to Papa na pag hindi daw masolosyunan they might pull out. Nalaman ko lang din 'to kahapon when they asked me to come home, since hindi mo sinasagot yung tawag nila pinakiusapan nila ako na kausapin ka at sabihin sayo lahat."

"And about the Marriage? Bakit kailangan kong ikasal? "

"About that, Don Magnus himself said to Papa na since hindi natuloy sa kanilang anak ang agreement nila ni Lolo Roman ay itutuloy nalang daw sa kanilang Apo and that's you and Uncle Atticus's son. He also told Papa na tutulungan niya tayo in exchange na ipakasal ka sa apo niya."

"And Papa approved of that? Mygad!" I walked out of the living room and went to my Kitchen to get another glass of water. Sumunod naman sa'kin si Krixia.

"I know how frustrated you are and i talked to Papa about that pero Ate think about the company too. Pag mabankrupt tayo paano na yung mga mawawalan nang trabaho? Paano na din tayo ? We're not that rich pero that business is very important to Papa too, alam mo na dugo at pawis ang pinundar niya para sa kompanya na yun and right now it's not in a very good state. Please understand, if ever man na hindi kayo magkasundo nang mapapangasawa mo there's divorse or annulment. Just please help Papa with this one. " She said with tears in her eyes as she walked out of my apartment. I was just standing there for a couple minutes, stunned with what Krixia said.

I felt guilty. She's right, hindi ko man lang naisip sila Papa. Alam ko na may reason bakit nila nagawa 'to pero I didn't know that it's already very severe. I love the company. Pag pumupunta ako doon nung bata pa ako ay parati akong nakikipaglaro sa mga nagtratrabaho doon. I felt my heart tighten with the realization and what i need to do. It's the least thing i can do for those people and my parents.

"Sigurado kana ba d'yan sa gagawin mo?" Astrid ask. Nasa isang Coffee shop kami ngayon dito sa Jaro plaza, kakatapos lang namin magdinner at dito agad dumerecho. I explained everything to her. Pakiramdam ko sasabog ako pag wala akong pinagsabihan. I cried myself to sleep last night thinking about what Krixia said. It really all made sense to me now. I can't just be selfish.
