CHAPTER TWO

4 costumers I count in my head as the day slowly comes to an end the rain didn't last that long at around 3 pm the rain stopped but there is still a chilly breeze outside.

"well won't you look at that less costumers for today I really don't know how to boost this business anymore " Martha said beside me while she is taking inventory of the pastries that is left

"This is what happens when it's rainy at least we have costumers it is better than nothing" Joe said as he was cleaning the coffee machine. It's true the coffee shop really doesn't have any people when it's raining and well this is the month where the season is rainy.

"I think we will do better tomorrow let's just hope there is no rain" I said to the old couple and gave them a reassuring smile they returned it and continued on to what we are all doing.

"I'm kind of thinking dear what pastries would you like to have in our shop i'm planning on making some different pastries so the people will come and visit us for something" Martha said and that got me thinking she is right we need to try something new for our little coffee shop that can attract people because of desserts and pastries

"hmm. How about cinnamon rolls, blueberry cheesecakes and muffins?" I was unsure about the last one but hey muffin is muffin right she smiled at me and noted my suggestions and put the note in her bag. "I will just finish up cleaning the last remaining tables okay?"

"It's okay take your time there are still one costumer left I will be in the office if you woman need me" Joe said and left. Joe is the one who makes tasty beverages from coffee to frappuccino he is really talented in that area no wonder why Joe and Martha opened the coffee shop because they really know what they are doing. Joe always makes my favorite hot chocolate with marshmallows it really is my favorite it's like a comfort drink for me. I know this place because this is where I used to study when I was still in college and this is really the most comfortable place that I've been the decorations feels like home and it is really relaxing. And they even have a corner wherein you can rest in with bean bags and pillows on the floor that has bookshelves that contains so many novels and all.

Once I was done cleaning the tables we start to pack the pastries that has't been sold we always give it to the people who are in need outside the cafe that has become our routine when there are pastries that has been left. Then someone walked inside the cafe

"Joe I thought you locked the doors" I looked at Joe and saw a man walking towards the counter and smiled at him even if he ignored the sign outside that said CLOSED in bold capital letters. Well it doesn't hurt to serve one more costumer.

"hello sir what can I get you today?" I smiled and looked at him and to be honest I don't think everything is okay with this man he reeked of alcohol but beside that he looked good in a suit his hair disheveled like someone has run their hands over it a few times his blue green eyes looking puffy and confused his lips parted as if he wants to say something and oh boy this man is gorgeous. But then again in my mind something doesn't feel right
