Sam's POV

"Son in a couple of days you will be taking over and as I will be retiring we will be having a dinner tonight but also at the end of the month we will have a company party for my retirement I want you to take Sophia tonight on the dinner and also on the party do I make myself clear?" I just stood there looking at my dad and I can't really help feeling like a child and I just don't want to be forced to someone but then again I will never be really free unless he steps down

"Yes dad I will but by any chance can I not invite someone else in the party like friends or what not?" I said wanting really to invite Kevin in this one because I literally will know my dad will be announcing my arrange marriage to Sophia

"Of course you can I will not limit you on that" he said while going back on reading files signing and more reading of files I said my goodbye and head down to my office I sighed and looked at my blank screen it's now or never I hit the call and waited

"Hey babe so glad you called me my dad said we will be having dinner tonight to celebrate your dad's retirement" I heard on the other line Sophia is a nice girl but she is a spoiled brat will always get what she wants and people will do as she say I just don't want to be tied down to a woman like that

"Yes I was about to say that my dad just informed me so we'll see each other later yeah?" I said and opened my laptop

"Of course babe I will never miss it for the world and maybe we can do something afterwards" she said and I can't help but shiver not in pleasure but in disgust she's beautiful and all but I just can' with her even if I know she is interested in me she is still seeing men how do I know well she is always on the news and every news she's in is drama

"Uhm I can't you see I have work the other day so yeah" I said hoping she will drop the call

"Hmmpp, Okay babe I've got to go there's still a lot to do for tonight bye" she said and hang up I leaned back in my chair and sighed glad that is over

Then I called Kevin and told him about the company party telling him I don't want to endure everything alone and I needed him there I just can't handle everything at the same time so glad that he agreed I left the office early not caring to tell my dad where i'm going I got in my car and sat there for a few minutes and started driving I know where I will be going

Emilia's POV

"did you enjoy your weekend hon?" Joe asked me as I was cleaning the counter It was 1 pm in the afternoon and there are just a few costumers inside the coffee shop in the morning the shop is full so we really didn't have anytime to chit chat

"Yes I did mom and dad can't wait to meet you I think they're planning on visiting here for once and also w enjoyed Martha's delicious muffins " I said while facing Joe and he gave me a cup of steaming hot chocolate as you guess it is raining a while ago but not it is only a drizzle I thanked Joe and started a small talk with him when we hear the door being opened I looked at the source of the sound

"no way Mr. Sam Hills" Joe said and went straight to greet sam I just stood there frozen many things running through my head is this it a chance a thing I don't know I'm panicking
