Emilia POV

Friday night. That's it.

Tonight I am preparing for the company party that Sam has invited me in Martha and Joe will be coming with me and they we're excited to be in something fancy and even they just allowed to open up in the coffee shop for half a day that's how excited they are. Me i'm not as excited as they are I'm nervous after what happened yesterday

Flashback

"Mark I didn't know that you are already here" I said shocked I forgot to inform him about me being here with Sam it slipped my mind I stood up and went towards him Sam stood up as well

"yeah, you didn't answer my calls so I went in to get you but you have company" he smiled but his smile doesn't reach his eyes

"i'm sorry I didn't, I was in a rush and forget to leave a message that I am with Sam oh, mark this is Sam and Sam this is Mark" I said while going in between them and they shake their hands

"yeah I know you I've seen you in some covers of business magazines" Mark said smiling once again

"yes I think that will be me" Sam gave Mark a tight smile it is really getting awkward

"so I will just clean up here and we can go Mark give me a minute okay" I said and went to clean up the mess that we have all the garbage I put inside the paper bag

"I will wait for you in the car" He said and went away

"let me help you" Sam said and helped me I whispered thank you to him we went out the cemetery with Sam by my side I saw Mark leaning in the hood of his car waiting for me

"soooo, thanks again Sam for accompanying me and listening and I will be seeing you tomorrow" I faced him and smiled and he returned it with one of his heart stopping smile and I felt Mark coming closer to me at the process

"Glad to hear that i'll see you tomorrow, and Mark it was nice to meet you" he said while waving and going inside his car and Mark put his hand at my back leading me to the passenger side of the car it was a silent drive on the way home and it was awkward and silent on the way home

Then few minutes ahs passed we arrived at my apartment.

"thank you mark for taking me home i'm really sorry about not leaving you a message" I said looking at him

"hey it's okay I just wish I knew I know we have been taking things slow and I can deal with that but please tell me inform me okay?" I nodded and reached out for his hand giving it a reassuring squeeze

"I will don't worry okay, and Sam is just a friend" A friend? Is that what I feel when I look at him or eve when I am with him? Well I clearly have feelings for Mark for a very long time and I know i'm just infatuated with Sam

"I know that and I trust you, and we will take things slow as slow as you like" he saide while kissing the back of my hand and smiled at me his, damn him and his boyish smile
