Sam's POV

Work has been draining me and my dad's retirement is coming near I can't be more happy about the second one and dad's retirement party will be going to be tomorrow night and I've been always going to the cafe in my free time and I really wanted to invite them for tomorrow they're friendly people and we become close in this past few weeks i'm going to tell them later when I went to the coffee shop

"sir this files needs your signature I will be leaving it here" my secretary went in my office and placed the files down my desk snapping me out of my thoughts

"thank you and please get me more coffee" I said while reading the files and sighing my mind went back to what will happen at the party I just couldn't stand it I talk to my dad about that arrangement but he still pressured me to do it I really don't want to be settled down I just don't like the idea of not choosing someone I love or even having the chance to court someone

"here you go sir ring me up if you need anything" I nodded my head and start reading the files again I have to focus on this and eventually I will have my peace when I am in the coffee shop. My life will be like this for a while until my dad will step down

Emilia's POV

"you did it!!!!" France yelled on the phone it's been days since I've told mark how I feel about him and it still felt surreal Mark is so sweet we've been always face timing each other every night and really taking things slow and I'm thankful for that.

"Yeah I did it and I'm so happy that I've take the risk and I will be going to visit Ashton later you know it's a Friday" Once a month I visit Ashton on the cemetery to just unwind and silently talk to him it become a habit of mine to do that and I've informed Mark about it and he was okay about it and he will be picking me up

"you know he is happy for you right? Finally living your life and he will be happy when he see you living your dreams" France said and I sighed I don't really want to take risks but I think I will do it eventually when I think I will be ready

"I know that and I just need to see him once in a while to tell him about what is happening" I said and I heard Martha call for me I was currently inside the kitchen and Martha was in my post "Hey I got to go will talk to you later okay? Or even let's meet up?"

"Yeah I would like that!!! Or even better double date" She said I just shake my head and laughed and said our goodbye's and I pick up the tray of tarts Martha has made and head to the counter and I heard voices that seem so familiar once I saw who Martha was talking to I almost drop the tray of tarts if it wasn't for Joe who took the tray from me and gestured for me to talk to

"Hi Ms. Emilia" Sam's voiced echoed in my ear his blue green eyes looking at my brown ones and his lips formed into a smile that can make your heart stop

"Hi Mr. Sam" I breathed out and walked towards where Martha is and looked at her

"well then go we will take it from here" she said while she push me forward I'm starting to think that they're playing cupid and they didn't even know about mark and I
