Chapter 10: Skateboard

"Good Morning everyone! I'm your DJ for today, DJ R. So next week will be a new year, Have you found your special someone?"

"Special someone? Tsk. Why do you need to find that someone when you could just wait." I turned off the radio.

"Okay, here we are." Dad stopped the car, I looked outside the window and to my dad. I gave him a pleading look.

"You'll be fine honey." He tapped my hands and I made a forced smile.

Dad transfered here in the city of Peñaloza.

City is a bit different from our province, too much people and there are more demands here. It was hard for me to adjust, it didn't come to my mind that we would be able to live here, but now we're here and i'm going to spend some time and when my dad finished his business we'll be back in my hometown, I can't wait for that time to come.

First week of school was good. I am now second year in college, had some few friends but only one of them I felt that I could trust, I'm a late enrollee so it was kinda bit hard to find someone whom I could trust.

Jazmine is her name, Jazmine Williams.

"Honey, breakfast is ready. Come down now." I hear moms' voice from the kitchen

"Okay mom! Just a minute." I said while getting my stuffs from my study table.

"Wow! This is so good mom!" I think my eyes is shining shimmering.. why? Because the breakfast.. it's so delicious. Mom baked lazaña for breakfast, its her specialty.

"Slow down a bit honey, you don't want to have a stain on your clothes right?" Oh right, my clothes. He-he. In college, we don't need to wear uniforms that is why I am wearing a plain white shirt and a black pants

"I'm going now mom, dad." I got my backpack from the sofa and headed towards the door.

"Honey, isn't it too early for you to go to school? Besides, your dad will drop you there." Mom said

"No mom, i'm not going with dad anymore, I told him earlier.. I wanted to explore the streets on my way there." I explained clearly, I want to get some fresh air every morning, I could have an alone time.. to think some things that are bothering me. Besides I've been here for 2 months and I still haven't memorize some streets here. So by walking I would be able to memorize the street names

I put my earphones on and pressed play on my phone.

5-10 minutes walk to school is not bad, it's a good exercise

Isn't he the same guy I listened to last time?

"Tomorrow is Valentines's day, do you have a date already?"

None. It doesn't matter if I don't have one. Tsk.

I realize that days flies so fast and tomorrow is Valentines already. I guess I was too busy catching up with the subjects.

"Uh-oh, I smell bitterness. So some of you doesn't have a date? I wish that you guys could find your special someone next year."

I shrugged. Nonsense.

I turned it off.

"Excuse me!" A guy who's in his skateboard is in front of me. I can't move, everything seems so fast.

The next thing I knew is I'm lying in the sidewalk. I tried to get up with my left hand but it's painful. I looked to my left, the guy who was in his skateboard is also hurt, he tried to stand with his left hand, and I on the other hand tried to stand by my own using my right hand.
