Araw na pala para tamnan ang kalahati ng lupa na meron kami.
"DAD!" I shouted while running papunta sa dining room.
"Hm? Anak?" ibinaba ni Pa ang kanyang kape, and he place the newspaper that he's holding on top of the table.
"Dad, can I help you plant?" I said, excitement is evident in me. It's been months?years? na din kasi when I planted crops, ngayon naman ay wala akong gagawin, magchuchurch lang mamaya.
"That's great. I'll go ahead anak, after you eat come to the farm okay?" dad tapped my head and made his way to the door.
"Wow, anak! you're early" Mom was startled by my presence.
"Yes mom, I'm here"
"It's only.." she looked to the clock "5am in the morning and it's weekend. So, what made you wake up this early in the morning?" pumamewang si Ma.
"I decided that I should help dad in planting crops."
"Is that so?" mom seems a little bit shocked.
"Uh-huh" Kumuha ako ng bread at ipinalaman ang peanut butter at tumayo na sa kinauupuan ko.
"Bye mom, see you later." Hindi ko na pinagsalita si mama at umalis na ako.
Unti unti nang lumilitaw ang araw.. sarap ng hangin.
"Good morning po Mang Alvin." bati ko sa isang matandang lalaki na nagtatanim.
Mang Alvin, he's helping dad to plant the crops for the past few years, sympre hati sila sa makukuha nilang pera. He doesn't have a family, he's a good man because all his 'pamangkins' pinagaaral niya, some graduated from college because of his hardwork in planting crops.
"Have you seen my dad?" I asked him.
"Yes, he just went somewhere to get something." bumalik na siya sa pagtatanim ng palay
I wandered my eyes around and there I saw dad walking with his boots on and a farmer's hat.
"Hey dad!" I waved to him
"Hey sweetheart"he smiled and waved back
"So what are we going to plant today?" I asked cheerfully
Dad was about to answer me but..
"Hey! Do you guys need one more person?" a familiar voice appeared out of nowhere.
MOM.
"Yeah sure honey." pinuntahan ni pa si ma at binigyan ng halik sa pisngi
"LET's GO PLANT!" anyaya ko sa kanila na nagyayakapan.
"Yes Ma'am!" they chorused.
Dad designated us yung mga place na tatamnan namin.
"Hey sweetheart!" I looked at mom, but I didn't expect what she did next. She threw mud on my face.
She started laughing really hard and I managed to throw a ball of mud into her face.. some got inside her mouth and she started spitting out some of the mud in her mouth.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA-HAHAHAHAH! MOM! ARE YOU ALRIGHT? HAHAHAHA" I can't hep but laugh.
"Hey, What's this commotion all about?" ayan na pala si papa, magandang pagkakataon din ito.
Pasimple akong kumuha ng putik and threw it to dad.
"Oh no you di-n't" dad said, his evil smile is visible.
I got scaired because once he did that smile.. everything is messed up. really messed up.
He got a mud and threw it at me, mas madami kasi masmalaki ang kamay ni Pa sa akin. When mom recovered from what I did to her she started to throw mud as well
