renjun's fingers were woven between eunbyeol's as they walked side by side through the sm entertainment building. her baggy, oversized jacket's sleeves ended past her hands and they covered some of renjun's.
it was a cold day but eunbyeol couldn't help but feel warm and excited. today was the day that renjun would introduce her to his group member, dayoung.
because of everyone's different schedules, it wasn't able to happen before but nct and stray kids ended promotions around the same time and renjun was immediate to take advantage of it.
"sm looks so different compared to jyp," eunbyeol said, looking around.
the boy glanced at her and smiled, full of affection. he stopped in front of one of the practice rooms and knocked a few times before opening the door.
inside was a brown-haired girl, sitting sideways on the sofa with her knees bent. her phone was in her hands and her focus on it broke upon hearing the click of the door.
"oh my god!" she gasped.
her cell was retired to the side of her as she hopped up and ran over to eunbyeol, embracing her in her arms.
"i've been dying to meet you! ever since i met renjun, the only time i don't hear him talk about you is when we have different schedules," she continued and pulled away. "i'm dayoung!"
the few managers that were also in the room greeted eunbyeol, making her feel somewhat comfortable. she introduced herself and dayoung quickly replaced renjun's hand with her own.
"hey!" he tried to protest.
"she's mine now. sorry, renjun~"
the youngest among them just laughed in amusement.
"ah, you're so cute!" gushed dayoung. "i wish we could've met sooner."
renjun ruffled eunbyeol's hair and pressed a quick kiss to the side of her head. "i'll see you later, shorties. take care of her, yin."
"of course."
after he was out of sight, the managers discussed the plans between dayoung and eunbyeol's collaboration. they sat together and talked amongst themselves, dayoung clinging onto eunbyeol.
