Y/N POV

As I finished up playing my guitar I looked up and saw that the Sun was setting 'I have to go or I'll be late' I thought with a frown.

Deker POV

When Y/N was done she stood up "I have to go" she said and started walking away when she stopped "your injuries should be healed by morning. I'll come by after school. What's your name?" She asked "Deker" I said. With a nod of her head she was gone 'At last my quest to satisfy my hunger for the ultimate duel can continue' I thought.

Y/N POV

When I got out of the forest I saw that my abusers car was gone 'Must be another trip so they should be back by the time I get home from school' with that thought I went to sleep.

Time Skip (when she gets home)

After I bandaged my wounds from my beating I went to see if Deker was still there. When I got there Deker was in the same place I left him so I came out of the bushes "I thought you would have left. Why are you still here?" I asked "I have one question?" he said "What is it?" I asked "Why are your parents abusing you?" he asked I looked down "Well" I started "They abuse me cause they don't see me As their child, they know me as the child they found at their door" I paused "You see they adopted me cause it would get them more money but when I was able to walk that's when they started abusing me and I have to teach myself how to treat my wounds so I could live. The abuse has been going on for three years now and if I tell anybody they were going to kill me" I finished.

Deker POV

When she finished I saw the sadness in her eyes
"Why don't you just run away?" I asked "Cause they will still find me no matter where I go. I can never leave this is". Y/N said.

She then stood up saying that her parents are waiting for her and she left. Now it's just me and my thoughts.

Y/N POV

I walked thru the door "Where have you been?" was the first thing my mother asked me "...." I stayed quite "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!!!!" she yelled "NOWHERE!!" I yelled back "Watch your tone with your mother" my father said "NO" I said coldly and started walking away but my father grabbed me ......... and broke a bottle on my head and I fell to the ground.

After I got up I looked at my so called parents "Is that all" I asked "Kill me now. I already told someone everything you guys do to me" I said and at that moment their eyes turned murderous.

My father pulled out a pocket knife and my mother broke another bottle and they both came running at me and stabbed me and boy did it hurt so I fell down on the ground clutching my stomach. My parents then tide my hands behind my back and stabbed or hit me with whatever they could find.

Time Skip 1 hour

When they were done I was unconscious. When I awoke they going to burn the house down with me in it. Everything happened in slow motion my parents soon to be murders came running at me. I closed my eyes prepared to die but nothing happened so I peeled my eyes open to see ........ this strange monster holding off my parents with a sword "Who are you" my father demanded, the strange monster didn't say anything but simply kill my parents and turn to me. That's when I saw its face a red from what I saw skull and what looks like white spikes and sheath for its sword.

When I looked at the sword and I saw that it was
'Uramasa' so I looked back up at the strange monster not even noticing the burning house
"Deker" was all I said then I blacked out.

Deker POV

Y/N said my name then blacked out so I picked her up and carried her bridal style out of the burning house with one thought 'I must protect her' and disappeared into the forest as fire trucks arrived.
