48 Shashi's Concern

Shashi was sitting on the bed, looking at Suhani's pic.

Shashi: What happened to her? How did you get her? From where did you get her?

Arnav told him the same story which he told to Khushi.

Shashi: Does Khushi know about Suhani?

Arnav: Do you want me to tell her?

He questioned, avoiding answering him.

Shashi: What do you mean Arnav?

Arnav: Actually, this is a matter of Sneha's mother. I'm not sure how Khushi will react to it...

Shashi: Where is Khushi?

Arnav: In our room.

Shashi went to meet Khushi and Arnav followed him. Shashi saw Khushi referring a book. She stood seeing him. Shashi came to her and made her sit again. He took a seat next to her.

Shashi: Beta I want to tell you something.

Khushi looked at Arnav questioningly. Arnav stood folding his hands, listening to the father-daughter talk.

Shashi: Suhani is admitted to the hospital, she is in a coma it seems. Shall I meet her?

Khushi was dumbfounded. She was gazing at him unbelievably.

Shashi: I promise I won't see her if you are not like it. But I'm really guilty about her, beta. She is a good woman. Garima also knew about her.

Khushi (shockingly): Did Amma know about your story?

Shashi stood, looking at Arnav.

Shashi: Thank you Arnav.

Arnav: Always... I will take you to the hospital in the evening.

Shashi nodded ok and left the room. Khushi hopped on Arnav crying. Arnav lifted her from the ground, and Khushi circled his waist by her legs. He let her cry for a while.
