Part 50 

After two years

Khushi hung her white coat in a stand and sat on the bed, holding her seventh-month baby bump.

Taking the intercom, Arnav dialed.

Arnav: We came.

Arshi: Coming Dad...

Arnav: Is that ready?

Arshi: Of course...

In a few minutes, Arshi came inside the room with a fruit bowl.

Arnav: Good girl...

Arshi: Mom... have this.

She handed the bowl to Khushi.

Khushi: Thank you beta.

Arshi: How was your operation?

Khushi: It was a little critical.

Arnav: It would have been...because the patient is just two years old baby.

Khushi: Yeah... that's why it took time.

Arshi: But it was a successful operation. Am I right?

Khushi (nodding yes): Undoubtedly.

Arnav: Take rest... you look tired...

Arshi: Mom, please, eat this fruit and sleep.

Khushi touched her cheek lovingly, nodding yes...

Arshi: I and Shali are going to shopping with Bua.

Khushi: What shopping?

Arshi: Just like that...

Khushi frowned at her.

Arnav: So?

Arshi: Take care of mom until I came.

It was indeed an order.

Khushi chuckled.

Arshi ran from there.

Arnav: She behaves like a big girl.

Khushi: It's because of you. By giving her the priorities, you make her feel like a big girl.

Arnav: What's wrong in that? She knows her responsibilities.

Khushi: That's why she orders you.

Arnav: Never mind. She is a good girl. She won't order me for unnecessary things.

Khushi: You know I was so hesitant when I got pregnant because Arshi is a ten years old girl. It's really embarrassing...

Arnav: But she took it casually.

Khushi: You made her casual... you always asked her about having sister and brother.

Arnav: That's why she is taking care of you.

Khushi: I don't know how much she is going to babysit the baby.

Arnav(laughing): Feel happy. She will take care of the baby and we will think about having another one. What say?

Arnav winked at her.

Khushi: I will kill you.

Arnav: You won't... I know you love me so much.

He said laughingly. Khushi kept the fruit bowl on the table.

Arnav: Finish it Khushi.

Khushi: I don't want it.

Arnav: You have not eaten anything. Have this and sleep.

Khushi: I want something spicy.

Arnav rolled his eyes.

Khushi: Go and bring me something.

Arnav: Are you taking revenge for making you pregnant?

Khushi: Then what? Why only women should carry a baby? Men also should take an equal parts.

Arnav: Am I not taking part?

Khushi: Haan... you do but it's not enough.

Arnav: Ok... find a way to transfer the baby into my stomach... I will carry him for the remaining month.

Khushi laughed out louder.

Khushi: You will look funny with a baby bump.

Arnav: But, you look beautiful...

He said sitting beside her, tucking her hair. Khushi leaned on his shoulder.

Arnav: Are you tired?

Khushi nodded yes.

Arnav: Laydown.

He took her legs on his thigh and started pressing. She had been standing for four to five hours to complete the surgery. Her legs swelled. She felt relaxed when Arnav pressed her legs. Within a few minutes, she dozed off. After applying pain balm on her legs, Arnav covered her with a quilt and sat on the recliner silently. Khushi's second maternity period was awesome, completely opposite to her first pregnancy. Arnav didn't let her do anything other than important Cardio surgeries.

Arshi was excited to see her brother. Arnav and Khushi didn't want her to feel that she is been ignored by her parents. That's why Arnav involved her in taking care of Khushi. Both father and daughter spend time watching videos about how to take care of newborn babies. Arnav wanted her to be close to her brother. So he made her feel how important Arshi is for them. Now she became a responsible sister. So there is no chance for her to feel the difference. Arnav succeeded in that.

Suhani showed a gradual improvement in her health. She often visits RM with Shashi and vice versa. Whenever Suhani meets Khushi, she never misses to apologize on the behalf of Sneha. And Khushi was tired hearing her apologies. It became routine between them, these days.

Two months later

Khushi delivered a boy baby. Arnav and Khushi named him Harsha. Arshi was so happy with her brother. She didn't even leave Harsha's side for a minute. At the same time, she made sure that she didn't leave Shali alone. Both of them didn't give chance to others to pamper Harsha.

Suhani was with Khushi to help her. Khushi knew she is compensating Sneha's sin. And Arnav didn't stop her from doing that. In between Suhani and Arshi, Arnav didn't get a chance to take care of Harsha. So, he became a night watchman. He gave-up his sleep to help Khushi. Khushi was totally free because of the people around her. They didn't let her bother about Harsha. Her second pregnancy was completely different from her first pregnancy in every direction and obviously she enjoyed it in fullest. And should mention she got plenty of time with her Arnav. Khushi is the only woman who enjoyed the maternity period in the world to this extend.

Harsha was growing, stealing everyone's heart by his sweet and naughty antics. Nani had no time to Satsang, Anjali had no time to shopping, Manorama had no time for make-up. Everyone was busy with Harsha... no-no... Harsha was making everyone run behind him and they did wholeheartedly.

There was no problem in their life... Everything was going smoothly... until Sneha got released from prison.

Sneha is going to be released tomorrow. Arnav couldn't come to the conclusion that in which state Sneha's mind is. Arnav's source told him that Sneha didn't talk to anyone in the prison except two or three. That two or three persons also not so close to her and they are very dangerous people. She always stayed aloof from the people and did the work which had been assigned for her in jail.
