Heartbroken

Chapter 10

Nova's POV

"Nove, Fi is picking us up from school today." Oct reminds me as she walks into my room. She has been walking into my room lately. It should be the other way around, but guess not.

"Yea, I know." I groan in response.

"Wow, what happened to you?" she asks.

"I am dying and going shopping with you is utter hell, no offense." I reply.

"Oooh. Sorry that your dying." she replies after realizing what I meant. "Oh, and you are lucky to have me for a sister. Your fashion is just...uh." she says dramatically, swooning. I roll my eyes.

"Yea, and yours is too pink and sparkly." I retort. Now she rolls her eyes.

"Girls! You'll miss the bus!" I hear mom yell.

"Coming mom." I yell back.

(Gonna save you the details, we get onto the bus and go to school. Hooray!)

****After School****

Oct and I wait near the front of the school for Fiona. She had just called, saying that there was a little bit of traffic due to an accident, and that she will be here in ten minutes. As usual, I am listening to music, and Oct is on her phone. I see a black BMW pull up, and Fiona waves to us from inside. Oct and I hop in, and we drive off towards the mall.

The first store we walk into is JcPenny. Mostly because Oct forced us, since they apparently have the best dresses. We follow Oct, who leads us to  the dress area.

We start looking around, but to no avail, until Oct pulls out a light pink dress.

"Wow, that would look amazing on you!" I say.

"Thanks, and this," she says, pulling out the same dress in peach, "is for you."

"Woah." I say, unable to stop staring at it in awe.

"Go try it on!" Fiona squeals like a little girl on Christmas. I chuckle and take the peach colored dress from Oct, and we both go into one of the rooms to change. We both come out at the same time, and Fiona gasps when she sees us.

"You two look stunning!" she squeals again.

"Thanks Fi." Oct and I say at the same time.

"Ok, officially freaked." Fiona says. The three of us laugh, and we decide that we are getting these dresses.

After a quick trip to payless for a pair of shoes, we decide to eat at a Thai restaurant. While driving back home, I ask Fiona to stop at Barnes and Noble for a quick look. After looking around, we all decide we are hungry for some chocolate chip cookies, and buy only about 10. Yes, we bought 10. And ate eight. We are monsters, trust me on that one. We wanted to save the last two for Mom and Harry.

Lets just say, mom and Harry were psyched when they say the cookies. They love the Barnes and Noble cookies, just like Oct and I. Come on, who doesn't?

It was amazing. Fiona is fun to hang out with.
