~~Your pov~~

Pansy led me through the winding corridors of the Slytherin dorms, pointing out the different rooms and introducing me to the other students.

The dorms were cosy and warm, with dark wood panelling and plush carpets.~

We passed by a group of students studying in the common room, and Pansy waved at them as we walked by.

- This is the sixth-year girls' dorm.(Pansy)

Pansy said, pushing open a door to reveal a long room with two beds, desks and dressers.

- You'll be sharing with me. Daphne used to be my roommate but her sister got in some trouble during the summer so unfortunately she had to move in with her.(Pansy)

I nodded, taking in the sight of the room.

It was decorated with green and black decorations in true Slytherin fashion, and Pansy had a huge collection of fashion magazines and beauty products scattered across her dresser.

- Make yourself at home.(Pansy)

Pansy said, gesturing to an empty bed.

- Your trunk is already here, you can put your stuff away and get settled.(Pansy)

Pansy said with a big smile.

I nodded, starting to unpack my trunk.

Pansy chatted with me as I worked, telling me about the different classes and professors.

After I finished unpacking, Pansy showed me the bathroom we would be sharing.

I slipped off my dress and put on my pyjamas and fluffy slippers.

As the night drew to a close, I said goodnight to Pansy grabbed a book and a blanket, and made my way to the common room to meet Draco.

When I arrived, he was already there, waiting for me in his black pyjamas and green slippers, holding a blanket.

- Hey.(Y/N)

I said, feeling a sense of nervousness.

I still can't believe I am doing this.

- Have you been here for a long time waiting for me?(Y/N)

Draco smiled, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

- Hey. Just a couple of minutes. Don't worry.(Draco)

I nodded, feeling a sense of relief.

- Okay. I brought a book to read.(Y/N)

Draco gestured to the fireplace.

- Fantastic. Come sit by the fireplace with me. The dungeons can be very cold at night.(Draco)

We sat down together, and I couldn't help but notice how cosy it was by the fireplace.

The flames crackled and spat, casting a warm glow over the room.

I snuggled up under my blanket, feeling grateful for the warmth.

But as we sat there, an awkward silence fell over us.

Draco seemed to sense it too, because he suddenly spoke up.

- So, Y/N, did you miss me?(Draco)

He asked, his voice low and smooth.

I laughed, feeling a sense of ease.

- Of course, Draco. We're friends, why did you ask that?(Y/N)

Draco shrugged.

- I don't know, I was just tired of the silence.(Draco)

I nodded, understanding.

- Oh, I see. Can I ask you a question?(Y/N)

Draco nodded, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.

- Yeah, sure, go ahead.(Draco)

I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of nervousness.

- The last time I saw you was at the Christmas ball that your parents threw last year, and I tried to talk to you, but you just avoided me. Why? Did I do something wrong?(Y/N)

I asked remembering everything vividly.

Draco's expression turned thoughtful.

- No, of course, you didn't do anything wrong. I was just nervous to talk to you. After all, I thought you were mad at me because I invited you to the ball at my school and then cancelled.(Draco)

I felt a pang of guilt.

- Draco, I wasn't mad at you. First, I was sad that you couldn't come to my ball, but I understood that you couldn't miss your own ball. And it was very fun. Who did you go to the ball with?(Y/N)

Draco's eyes sparkled with amusement.

- Oh, thank Merlin you weren't mad. I was a wreck thinking that you didn't want to talk to me anymore. Thank Merlin, I was wrong. I went with Astoria, and I have to say, it was pretty boring.(Draco)

I smiled, feeling a sense of relief.

- I'm glad we cleared that up.(Y/N)

Draco's expression turned serious.

- By the way, this year the school is having a Christmas ball to celebrate their 1000th birthday. Do you want to go with me?(Draco)

I felt a surge of excitement.

- Wow, I haven't even been here for a day, and you're already inviting me to the ball?(Y/N)

Draco grinned, his eyes sparkling with confidence.

- Yeah. You're the prettiest girl in all Hogwarts, I'm sure that almost every guy is going to invite you, so I'm already shooting my shot. Unless you don't want to go with me.(Draco)

I felt a flutter in my chest.

- Wow, Draco, I'm flattered. Yes, I will go with you.(Y/N)

Draco smiled and so did I.

We continued talking and soon enough I drifted off to sleep.
