They stood in silence just watching the other, waiting for someone to make the first move but nobody did, the feeling of stiffness hung heavily in the air making the situation more uncomfortable than what it originally was, he had to get to the Beta before she did if they stood any chance of making it off the premises, alive. They both knew that Liam and Mason were in the building but they didn't know where, he knew that neither boy would trust him after all the horrid things he'd done, the letter although threatening was a warning to leave while they still had time.

"I'm warning you now to leave, before it's too late" said Monroe with a certain glint in her eye, from the lack of light in the hallway they stood in Jay couldn't understand the brightness in her eyes, her brown irises glared at him with invisible daggers, neither of them should be here and he knew deep down it was his fault for telling her everything he knew, "what I told you, it was a mistake!"

"You forget" she laughed softly, "that I already know of their existence through Gerard, you just filled in the holes of their location, besides if it was so much of a 'mistake' you wouldn't have stolen the young Beta's boyfriend, Theo?"

Both figures heard the sound of crashing coming from room 142, Liam and Mason's location had now been compromised; they'd heard the entire thing from beginning to end: Liam had shifted and tried to escape through the classroom door to take on both Monroe and Jay, he seemed to be playing a card that seemed truthful yet false at the same time; the only thing that mattered to Liam was the location of Theo - Nolan can wait. Tackling Liam into the group of tables behind them the Beta growled angrily, fighting against Mason's grip was harder then Liam had been expecting even after shifting; "don't do it Liam, you'll get yourself killed!"

Escaping through one of the open windows that Mr Yukimura had left open both boys dropped to the ground, getting to their feet after recovering from the terrible landing they sprinted towards Mason's car desperate to put some space between themselves and the two monsters within the school, they needed to tell Scott what they'd found out, maybe then they could get Theo back before it was too late. "We need to figure out what the entire letter says, see if Jay's telling the truth about him trying to warn us" Mason panted tired, why had he chosen to park at the furthest end of the car park?

"Jay's house is still an active crime scene" Liam explained as they neared the car, "we have to try, there could be a chance Theo's there!" It was far fetched and could get them arrested if they were caught by someone other than Sheriff Stilinski or Parrish but it was a risk they'd have to take, throwing themselves inside of Mason's car they hightailed it out of there before Jay or Monroe could see them, the deadline was almost unknowingly up, Scott's pack should be scared: the letter Jay wrote them explained everything, from the very, last, detail but unfortunately for them they couldn't read it; if they could they'd leave Beacon Hills quicker then a flock of birds heading South for the winter.

Surrounding the house was crime scene tape telling them not to enter, they could see the cop cars but Liam couldn't hear anybody talking, and their breathing seemed calm, "they're asleep, let's get in now before they realize we're here" creeping through the back door that had been left unlocked Liam pushed out all the bad memories that kept trying to resurface.

"I'm going to keep you on the edge of death Dunbar."

"You kissed my boyfriend, how can you even justify that because I know I can't!"

"He'll never love you, Liam. Theo just wants to keep you wrapped around him claw so you don't send him back."

He could feel the hands constricting around his throat, his every breath was becoming weaker and weaker with every passing second, vials of liquid mercury laid carelessly next to his body; if so much as a drop got injected into his flesh nobody would see him again, Jay's nails dug painfully into his neck making him cry out desperately for help but of course, nobody other than his attacker could hear his pleas and fear sobs; he wanted Theo to save him like he had done hundreds of times before.

Fading in and out of consciousness he remembered memories he never wanted to bring up again, "I'm not going to save you, I'm going to do exactly what you'd do to me: I'm gonna use you as bait!"

"I went through all of this to keep you from being taken!"

"Liam, I - I love you" they both heard his heartbeat - beat irregularly, it echoed even louder from the cold metal elevator walls, "no Theo, you don't"

"Liam!" Mason hissed for the tenth time angrily, he'd zoned out for what felt like an eternity, mumbling random sentences that made no sense to him, "snap out of it man, you're my eyes and ears to make sure nobody's coming, now hurry up!"

The house was empty, void of any life other then the bugs that had made it home and the spiders that dangled from the ceilings, windows were smashed and blood from Theo's stab wound still stained the carpet and walls, nobody had made any effort to clean the mess up, the vials of mercury still lay strewn across the floor hidden behind the glass panel that was once made to look like brickwork, "we'll find him Li, don't worry."
