Chapter Seven

That night, Bella was home cooking dinner. Nick was holding her as she cooked dinner. Ben came into the kitchen.

"We need to talk," Ben said.

"What's up," Nick said.

"I think I found the woman of my dreams and I'm sorry but it isn't Bella," Ben said.

"Who is it?" Nick asked.

"Hannah, I met her at the courthouse," Ben said.

"Ben?" Bella asked.

"She works for the city clerk," Ben said.

"So you want out of the triad?" Nick asked.

"I'm sorry," Ben said.

"Well I hope you will be very happy," Bella said.She went out of the kitchen and up to the bedroom and slammed the door. She locked it and collapsed on the bed. She stared at the ceiling.

"I still have Nick," Bella said. There was a knock at the door. She sat up.

"Baby," Nick said. She got up and opened the door and saw him standing there.

"Is he gone?" Bella asked.

"Yeah baby he is, he will give you space," Nick said.

"I don't want to lose you," Bella said.

"You will never lose me baby," Nick said.

"Let's finish dinner," Bella said.

"Okay baby," Nick said. They went downstairs and she finished cooking dinner while he held her.

"Are you mad about it?" Bella asked.

"Not really, I get to have you all to myself, we can't be mad at him, baby, I mean he couldn't help how he felt, maybe he is just seeing what's there, he could come back to us," Nick said.

"But would we take him back," Bella said.

"Wouldn't you?" Nick asked.

"I am not sure of anything right now," Bella said.

"Let's just move on and take things day by day, we do have a wedding to plan, do you want to get married before or after the baby?" Nick asked.

"Before," Bella said.

"We should get started on plans then," Nick said.

"I don't want a huge wedding," Bella said.

"Then we will plan a nice simple ceremony with just our family and friends," Nick said.

"Who is your best man going to be?" Bella asked.

"Ben," Nick said.

"Amber will be my maid of honor," Bella said.

"Okay my love," Nick said.

"Let's eat and get ready for bed, you have another busy day tomorrow," Bella said.

"I know, I will be glad when this case is over and I can be back in the office with my incredibly sexy fiancee," Nick said.

"We will be doing actual work, babe, office work," Bella said.

"Oh we will be working," Nick said.

"Is that all you can think about," Bella said.

"When I'm around you, yep," Nick said. They sat down and ate dinner and cleaned up the kitchen and went upstairs to the bedroom and took a shower together and he made love to her in the shower and they washed off afterwards and got out and dried off and collapsed on the bed and made love again before falling asleep in each other's arms. The next day he took her to the office and got his files he needed for court and kissed her deeply and left for the courthouse. She walked over and sat down with Amber.
