Chapter Thirteen

Three months later, things were almost back to normal. Even though it was not entirely his fault, Bella and Nick still could not bring themselves to let Ben back in yet because he let himself talk to her in the first place. Ben understood and gave them space and only talked about cases with them. Lexi was sentenced to five years in prison and a permanent restraining order against her to stay away from Bella and anyone close to her. They charged Hannah as an accomplice and she got one year.

"Babe?" Bella asked.

"Yes baby," Nick said.

"Come here," Bella said. Nick walked into the bathroom where she was waiting. He saw what was on the counter. Three pregnancy tests.

"Are they?" Nick asked.

"All positive babe," Bella said. He took her in his arms and kissed her deeply and buried his face in her neck.

"I'm going to be a father!" Nick said.

"Yes babe, but we should go to the doctor to confirm it," Bella said.

"If all three say the same then you are," Nick said.

"I just want to make sure, sometimes they aren't accurate, no matter how many are taken," Bella said.

"Okay baby let's go," Nick said. They went to the doctor and got it confirmed and made an appointment and went to the office and told everyone. They all hugged them. Ben was the last.

"Congratulations you two," Ben said.

"Thanks man," Nick said.

"Thank you," Bella said. Nick and Bella looked at each other and looked at him.

"We want you to be the baby's godfather," Nick said.

"I'll be honored," Ben said.

"I'm godmother right?" Amber asked.

"Yes of course," Bella said. Nick and Bella went into his office.

"Baby what are you thinking?" Nick asked.

"Do you want to bring him back in or just stay the two of us?" Bella asked.

"I kind of like having you to myself," Nick said.

"I like having you to myself too," Bella said.

"I love you so much," Nick said.

"I love you too," Bella said.

"Okay so here is the thing, we will go on just the two of us and if we get the itch of wanting him for a night here and there, we will," Nick said.

"All right, just not permanent," Bella said.

"No baby, that's over with," Nick said.

"Should we tell him?" Bella asked.

"Yeah," Nick said. She went and got Ben and came back with him.

"What's up?" Ben asked.

"Okay me and Bella talked, we are no longer going to do the triad, period, that's done, it's just me and Bella in this relationship," Nick said.

"Okay, I kind of figured that, I messed up," Ben said.

"I'm not finished bro," Nick said.

"Sorry, go on," Ben said.

"If there is a night here and there where we want to get it on with you, we will call you," Nick said.

"Oh really," Ben said.
