Chapter Nine

Three hours later, they were home and Nick got her settled into bed and got in with her and held her as she cried softly. Nick felt tears roll down his cheeks as they mourned the loss of their baby. Ben stood at the door and watched them and went to sleep in another room to give them space to heal from their loss. The next day, Nick got up and showered and changed. Ben came in and shook his head.

"What," Nick said.

"Stay home, man, you two need time to grieve," Ben said.

"I've got that case to work on, man, I have so much to do," Nick said.

"Amber and I will work on it, okay, we know where everything is and what to do, you are to stay home with Bella, she needs you okay, you two suffered a great loss, you need the time together," Ben said.

"All right, call if you need anything," Nick said.

"We will be fine," Ben said. Ben hugged him and went out the door. Nick changed and got back into bed with Bella and held her close. She woke up and saw him.

"Hello my love," Nick said.

"It wasn't a dream, was it," Bella said.

"No it wasn't," Nick said.

"We lost our baby," Bella said.

"I know, honey," Nick said.

"Oh god," Bella said.

"Bella,"Nick said.

"It's because of what happened before we went to sleep," Bella said.

"What," Nick said.

"What if what we did was the cause of the miscarriage," Bella said.

"No, Bella, that's not possible, we both made sure not to lay on you or anything," Nick said.

"I know that but both of you inside me at the same time," Bella said.

"No baby, I thought that too, but I looked it up and it didn't say that it would cause a miscarriage," Nick said.

"How are we going to get through this?" Bella asked.

"We will take it one day at a time, it's not the end of the world, we can try again when we are ready," Nick said.

"I want your babies, only yours," Bella said.

"Then we will tell Ben that he strictly fucking you in your ass," Nick said. She giggled softly and he smiled and kissed her forehead.

"I love you," Bella said.

"I love you so much my love," Nick said.

"Oh crap your case!" Bella said.

"Ben ordered me to stay with you and that he and Amber will work on it," Nick said.

"Oh," Bella said.

"Did you tell your mom?" Nick asked.

"Was Alex there last night?" Bella asked.

"Yeah," Nick said.

"He probably told her," Bella said.

"You should call her," Nick said. She nodded and called her mother.

"Bella, honey," Carla said.

"Hey Mom," Bella said.

"Alex told us what happened, I'm sorry honey," Carla said.

"It's not the end of the world," Bella said.

"I know honey, how are you guys holding up?" Carla asked.

"Okay for now," Bella said. They talked for a little bit before hanging up. She snuggled close to Nick.

"Alex told her?" Nick asked.

"Yeah, babe, I want to go back to work," Bella said.

"Monday, okay baby, doctor wanted you to rest for a few days," Nick said.

"That's what I meant babe," Bella said.

"Okay baby, we will go back to work Monday, the others can handle things and Ben and Amber can work on the case," Nick said.

"I love you," Bella said.

"I love you more," Nick said. They went to sleep. They woke up sometime later and saw Ben walk into the room.

"Hey," Ben said.

"Hey bro," Nick said.

"How's our girl?" Ben asked.

"I'm okay now," Bella said.

"We need to talk with you," Nick said.

"All right," Ben said. He sat on the bed and Bella moved into his arms. She kept a hold of Nick's hand.

"Bella and I were talking and she said she wants my babies only," Nick said.

"So no more pussy for me?" Ben asked.

"Only until she is pregnant again, bro," Nick said.

"I'm sorry Ben," Bella said.

"Baby I understand, he will be your husband so he should be the father of your babies," Ben said.

"But know that you will be dad as well," Bella said.

"I know baby, I said you guys are stuck with me," Ben said.

"I have a question for you both," Bella said.

"Okay baby," Nick said.

"Okay,"Ben said.

"Have you two ever done anything with each other?" Bella asked. Nick and Ben looked at each other and looked at her and nodded.

"Yes baby," Nick said.

"We have kissed each other before," Ben said.

"We did more than that, bro," Nick said.

"Oh yeah," Ben said.

"What did you guys do?" Bella asked.

"Well..." Nick said.

"We fucked a couple times," Ben said.

"Did you like it?" Bella asked.

"Yeah we did," Nick said.

"It was amazing," Ben said.

"So you guys are bi-sexual?" Bella asked. Nick and Ben looked at each other and smiled.

"Yes baby I guess we are," Nick said.

"Are you wanting something baby?" Ben asked.

"Have you guys ever thought of doing stuff with each other?" Bella asked.

"Like what baby?" Nick asked.

"Like while you are fucking me, Ben would be fucking you," Bella said.

"Oh baby," Nick said.

"I have kind of been missing it, Nick," Ben said.

"You have?" Nick asked.

"Oh yeah, but we will wait until our girl is healed and has the all clear," Ben said.

"Why should you?" Bella asked.

"Ben?" Nick asked.

"It wouldn't be fair for us to do anything and you can't," Ben said.

"I love you both," Bella said.

"I love you baby," Nick said.

"I love you," Ben said. They had dinner and showered and went to bed together.
