I made a mistake everyone... I just uploaded Chapter 2 and, whatever it was, made me listen to Lovely -Billie Eilish ft. Khalid.

Now I want to write depressive stuff. Great. It hasn't been 2h that I thought I should rather do a 5th story that is lighthearted, since this, "Behind the glass" and also partly my own story, are a bit too sad or deep or whatever. "The Mate" is really the only light one I have in sale rn but I guess... more depressing stuff.... *sighed*

Was about to write "Enjoy" but I think we are at a point that is too tragic and sad to enjoy it really... 》

It felt like an eternity. No. Even an eternity must have felt short compared to the time it took for me to finally realize it.

It wasn't strong, but rather faint. But there was a heart beat.

And he seemed to breath.

I let out a deep breath, realizing I had helt it in as soon as I recognized him.
The desire to touch him, to shake him and make him wake up were unbearable, but I knew how damaging that could be. If he had a spine injury, a wrong move might... I shook my head.

"P'King"

I just said his name in the hope that he would hear me and carefully held his left hand. I repeated his name.

Again and again.

It was less to really make him wake up, but rather to make me believe that I had really found him.

I didn't remeber much of what happened next. I know, the ambulance arrived rather fast and soon after I was left outside the doors to the emergency room and had to take a seat in the hall in front of it. P'Gulf was standing beside me, having a hand on my shoulder and patting it lightly, while i think P'Mew walked past me twice or so and then was on the other side of me.

But that didn't matter.

Though I was sitting in the hall of the hospital, the bright white light hurting my eyes, all I could see in front of me was the dark street.

P'Kings body laying in front of me.

Not moving.

Loking more dead than alive.

I couldn't control it. Tears filled my eyes before they started to run down my cheeks. I felt someone hugging me, but was too far away to react or do anything. I just sat there and sobbed.

It took a bit until the tears dried down, not because the pain was gone but rather because there was no water to cry out anymore.

I was still deep in thoughts.  Seemingly so deep that it took a while to realize that someone was squatting down in front of me and had his hands on my knees. Lips moving.

I blinked a couple of times and then looked in P'Thara's Face.

"Nong Ram?"

I slowly nodded and felt him pat my head for a second.

"You brought King here, right? I heard from the others yesterday about what happened."

I nodded again.

"My shift has been over for 20min, but I'll check on him in the emergency room, okay? And i will come back to update you and the others later, okay?"

I nodded again and then P'Thara stood up and went through the big door beside me.

P'Gulf handed me a papercup with water and i took a sip, trying to fill my water reservoirs up again. The other bodyguard was sitting on my left, an arm on my back and lightly caressing it. The two of them were more then just Bodyguards. They were my friends.
