Brian Mandeville's POV

Wife.

I mean it. I want her to be my wife and I have no intention of realising her anymore. I can't wait to be married with her knowing that we'll be spending our lives together forever.

And just like that, weeks have passed smoothly. As we go back from New York, she habitually go to office and spend our lunch together. She will even bring us lunch or we would out to have some lunch.

"Lunch po kayo dyan, sir?" And here comes my bride. I sort my papers in a side of my table to rest myself from it and to entertain Anna. She totally enter my office and put a paper bag on my table as she went beside me. "I just prepared food kasi tinatamad ako lumabas."

"It's ok," I said and grab her waist, making her sit on my lap.

"Hey, nasa office tayo," she warned me

"And?" I asked like there's nothing could happen.

"Isn't it inappropriate?" She asked worriedly.

"It is," I said contradicted my action. I close my eyes and imbed my face over her.

"Baka may makakita sa atin. Makita nila tayong ganto," she said getting irritated. I open my eyes and sighed out of dissapointment.

"Amelia!" I called Amelia. Anna tried to parted herself but I didn't let her go.

"Hey! Come on Brian-"

"Yes sir?" Amelia sneak out the door and I saw how her eyes lit up, seeing us like this.

"Lock the door-"

"Brian!" Anna hit my chest with an irritated face but It didn't effect me since she have a soft hand with tiny fingers. Cute.

"Lock the door, Amelia," I said in a soft tone so it'll ease Anna's green mind. "I meant to do nothing, Anna."

"Kahit na," she said but her words contradict to her actions 'cause I pressume she's now enjoying sitting on my lap since she's getting heavy.

"You're enjoying. You're getting heavy," I stated that made her even frowned.

"Hindi kaya!" She said sound defensive. I shrugged.

"Anyway, we're planning for a charity work to an orphanage. You wanna come?" I changed the topic, still her on my lap.

"Oh really? Saan?" Her mood suddenly changed. I'm used to it, though.

"In San Juan. Ashley decluttered some of her things that's why. Sakto may project silang ganun sa school nila. Sama 'ko. Ikaw?" I said while preparing our lunch. She still can't shift from place since my arms were around her, unlatching the lunch box.

"Sama 'ko." She wrapped her arms around my neck, watching what I'm doing. "You know what? I really like kids. I find them really adorable. I can't wait to have kids na nga eh. I actually want a girl but also boy at the same time. Or maybe I could have boy muna-"

"We," I corrected.

"Ok. So I'm thinking if we could have boy muna then sunod 'yung girl. Then he would take care of his baby sisiter, right? That's so cute! Just like how you care for Ashley 'no?" I nodded.

She kept on talking about kids and I just keep nodding at her since I'm busy preparing our food. Though I'm still listening at her since that's what she want that I'm also looking forward.

She just cooked a fish fillet with pasta and potato wedges as a side dish. She also brought a lemonade and a powdered juice for her. I guess she's on a cheat day.

I finally let her go so we could eat already. She pull out the ottoman under my table and sit beside me. We start eating so as chattering. It feels like heaven being on the side of the one I entirely love.

"Senator Timothy will be on hearing later," I stated. I saw how her mouth moved slowly from eating as she heard what I said. "It'll be fine. I just want you to know. Sure he is professional enough to separate work over personal things."

She nodded once and breath out a heavy sigh. I put my fork on my left hand so I could hold her hand. I held her and give her an assuring smile. She smiled me back that made me finally intertwined our hands.

"Kamusta pala 'yung hearing nyo nung nakaraan?" She suddenly asked.

"Like usual," I said and shrugged.

It is what really happened. We act according with our profession and did not include any glimps of word that will lead to open up some personal things. Timothy was really in his role and tried so hard not to throw some action and mostly words to terminate me down that will surely affect the entire congress. Though it's obvious that he loathe me in all aspects.

But this time is different. I knew it from the way he looked at me when we enter the court, I know he will do something that will lead me into unfortunate situation. He wants to exile me not only in Anna's life but even in senate. Konti na lang iisipin ko nang insecure sa 'kin 'to.

"Article I, section 5 of the Constitution provides that each chamber of Congress "shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members" and may  "punish its Members for disorderly Behavior", your honor," he said calmly while most of the people here in the court are already turmoiling. He's looking at me with full of grace that he really assured that I will be in unfortune.

"The Senate have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President was tried, the Chief Justice shall preside. And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two-thirds of the Members present," I resist. He was just about to speak again but we heard the judge use the gavel that caught the attention.

"If you don't cease doing what you're doing, I am going to make an order that you will not like in the least." The judge finally use the gavel to stern warning.

If the jury cannot reach a verdict, this is a hung jury. The judge might send the jury back to talk more and see if they can reach a unanimous decision. If they cannot, the judge would declare a mistrial and the District Attorney's office would decide if they want to have another trial in the case. And now, I'm under composing to a trial.
