Brian Mandeville's POV
"So who's the father, Katrina?" Mayor Nathan asked Katrina.
I was about to go to office when Anna called me. She told me that Mayor Nathan wants to have a breakfast with me which is a weird one. After calling me, Anna texted me that I don't need to be there and It's just her acting that she invited me. But I still insist to go, scared that Nathan might tell Anna about my case that I don't want to happened the most.
It's much more confusing that Katrina is in so much anxious being with me. We just know each other and I don't remember any moment that we've talked for so long. Why being consious, right?
"He doesn't want the child," Katrina said instead. My brows furrowed when Nathan change his mood.
"What do you mean he doesn't want the child?" He asked with a bit anger in his voice. Weird.
"Kuya, stop it. You're just messing up." Finally Anna spoke up.
I just put my attention on my food throughout our meal. I would just speak when they would asked me. When it's not that necessary, I would just plastered a smile.
After lunch, I straightly went to work with Anna. I actually don't want her come in the office up until my case would ended. She was just so stubborn to think that she followed me secretly and I just noticed it when we're on the parking lot already.
I'm scolding her until we reached my office. I just stop as I realized I'm being too much and I might have overboard. But after all, Anna was still smilling like it's not a big deal. Well of course for her it's not but to me, it's a big deal.
"Bakit ba ayaw mo 'ko dito?" She asked still smiling.
"I just think that it's better kung sasamahan mo si Katrina sa OB, diba?" I reasoned out.
"But she said ok lang daw. Kasama nya naman daw manager nya. Tska ang tagal ko ng hindi pumupunta dito," she kept one talking, so on and so on.
I was just watching her, waiting her to stop in mumbling. I'm leaning on my table with my arms crossing over my chest. She's roaming around my office, sneaking on my book shelves like it's really her first time going here.
"Diba?" Finally she stop. I nodded even if I don't understand what she's talking about. I stood up and followed her behind while still scanning my bookshelves. "Nabasa mo na 'to lahat?"
"Not all," I answered. "I mean, I have read every single book but not every single page. Get it?"
"Hm-uhm," she hummed. I was about to get a book when she turn around and hook her arms around my neck, smiling genuine. Muntik na akong ma-out of balance but I maintain my grip on the edge of the shelve and held her waist to maintain the balance.
"Ayan, ang kulit kasi," sita ko. She's still in her smile so it made me smile too. I wrapped my hands around her waist as I get on my foot. "Katrina have her baby na."
"So?" Her smile fade away and her brows furrowed up.
"Baka pwedeng tayo din," I whispered and pursed my lips to stop from laughing.
"Pakasalan mo muna 'ko, 'no," she hissed and parted herself from me but I'm still holding her waist, walking towards to my table.
"Pwede namang baby muna bago kasal," I pouted my lips.
"Aba, Brian Mandeville! Papaalala ko lang sayo, senador ka," she reminded me which I get her point.
"Ano naman?" I still act innocent though.
"Osya, sige, dun ka na kay Kat." My brows furrowed. "Gusto mo baby diba? Dun ka na. Ayun may baby na 'yon."
"What the fuck, Brianna?" I said with full of point in my voice.
