In a flash, the Princess crashed down into an empty valley. She landed in the mud. It seeped into the red fabric of her dress ruining the fabric. Slowly, she pushed off the ground and looked around. Rain was pouring down from the heavens. Hooves could be heard beating against the cobblestone of the nearby street. Her chest was aching as she felt the familiar burning sensation building up in her head. It was her time, she knew it. But, she didn't want to go.
Tears mixed with rain as she closed her eyes thinking of the man across the universe sacrificing himself for the good of time and space. She should be there with him. She should be perishing with her people.
She felt a force slam against her brain that caused her to crumple to the grown and let out a hellish scream. Her breathing was heavy as she listened for something, anything.
But there was nothing.
Her people were gone.
Her planet, incinerated.
Her husband, dead.
