Total Drama Island/Action [Gwen x OC]

Chapter 2: Our first challenge

Lukas's POV

We were all standing at the top of the cliff.

"Okay. Today's challenge is threefold. Your first task is to jump off this 1,000 foot high cliff into the lake."

"Piece of cake." Bridgette said as if it was nothing.

"If you look down you will see two target areas. The wider area represents the part of the lake that we have stocked with psychotic man eating sharks. Inside that area is a safe zone. That's your target area, which we're pretty sure is shark free." Chris explained.

"Excuses me?" Leshawna raised an eyebrow.

"For each member of your team that jumps and actually survives, there will be a crate of supplies waiting below. Inside each crate are supplies that you'll need for the second part of the challenge. Building a hot tub. The team with the best one gets to have a wicked hot tub party tonight. The losers will be sending someone home. Let's see, Killer Bass. You're up first." Chris told them.

I'm a bit relieved that we get to watch the other team test out the challenge first.

"So, who's up?" Eva asked.

"Ladies first." Duncan grinned.

"Fine. I'll go. It's no big deal. Just an insane cliff dive into a circle of angry sharks." Bridgette commented and then dived.

She actually managed to perfectly dive into the water.

This motivated her teammate Tyler to dive, who hit into a buoy. Following after him was Geoff, Eva, and Duncan who landed just fine.

Their teamate DJ was too scared to jump so he ended up receiving a chicken hat. Ezekiel dived and went twirling into the safe zone.

Next went Harold who jumped and landed the worst way possible. He's lucky he didn't break anything.

Courtney decided not to jump since she feels not even nine of us to jump.

It kinda makes me want to jump just because she assumed that. Chris looked at his clipboard and realized two people didn't jump.

Katie and Sadie managed to convince Chris to do a team swap with Izzy. They both happily jumped into the water together.

"Okay, so that's nine jumper and two chickens. Screaming Gophers, if you can beat that we'll throw in a pull cart to put your crates on." Chris informed us.

"Nice. Okay guys, who's up first?" Trent asked.

We were all dead silent.

"I'm sorry. There's no way I'm doing this." Heather crossed her arms.

"Why not?" Beth asked.

"Hello, national TV. I'll get my hair wet." Heather stated.

"You're kidding right?" Gwen raised an eyebrow.

"If she's not doing it I'm not doing it." Lindsay said.

"Oh you're doing it." Leshawna demaned.

"Says who?" Heather glared.

"Says me. I'm not losing this challenge cuz you got your hair did you spoiled little daddy's girl!"

"Back off ghetto glamour too tight pants wearing rap star wannabe"

"Mall shopping ponytail wearing teen peeking in high school prom queen."

"Well at least I'm popular." Heather said.

Wow, what a comeback.

"You're jumping."

"Make me."

Leshawna picked Heather up off the ground and threw her in the water.

"Leshawna. You are so dead." She threatened from the water.

"Hey, I threw you into the safe zone didn't I? Now I just hope I can hit it too." She said jumping, screaming the whole way down.

Followed behind Lindsay. Gwen then jumped after. Well it looks like everyone's doing it so, I don't wanna stand out and not do it.

I went towards the cliff and dived into the water and managed to get into the safe zone.

Cody and Izzy dived after. Justin dived and didn't land in the safe zone. Leshawna and Cody started telling him to swim away from sharks. All he did was turn around and smile at the sharks and they came to a stop.

The shark ended up giving him a ride to shore. Beth was too scared to dive and ended up getting a chicken hat.

Trent managed to land in the safe zone. Our last jumper was Owen.

"Okay campers, there's only one person left you guys need this jump for the win. No pressure dude. Okay there's pressure." Chris said through his megaphone.

We all started encouraging Owen to jump.

/Gwen:"I actually thought if he jumps this. He's gonna die."\

/Lukas:" I'm not one to judge, but.... should we call an ambulance just in case or...."\

Owen gather up the courage to run forward and jump into the lake. He caused this huge wave that splashed and pushed us back.

We all got changed into our regular clothing and used the pull carts to carry the boxes. Everyone was singing that song about bottles of pop on the wall to keep themselves occupied while pulling the carts.

Since everyone else was pulling the crates I was mostly looking around at how crudy this place looks while mumbling the lyrics.

"Look. There's the campground." Beth pointed.

"Thay was pretty easy." Owen said.

"I'm pleasantly surprised." Cody nodded.

After getting the crates to the campsite, Chris informed us that we could only use our teeth to open the crate.

Everyone seemed to eventually get the crates open with their teeth.

"Hey, check it out. I got wood." Owen said.

"I've got some tools here and what looks like a pool liner." Trent said.

After all coming together,  we managed to neatly put the tub together. After completing everything Chris came to judge our tubs.

He started off examining our tub.

"This is an awesome hot tub." Chris commented.

We all cheered. Chris went to examine the other teams. He tapped it once and it sprayed his eye and then fell apart.

"Well. I think we have a winner here. The Screaming Gophers!" Chris said.

We all started cheering at our victory.

"Gophers. You're safe from elimination and you get to rock this awsome hot tub for the rest of the summer. Bonus."

/Gwen:"Yep. This camp pretty much still sucks. But now that I'm here I guess I might as well actually try to win."\

After winning the challenge and attending 'dinner' our team was pretty much just chilling out in or by the hot tub.

Today wasn't too bad. I didn't die and I'm one step closer to the prize money.

An: yeah, not much could really go on this chapter but things will start to pick up as they go.
