Chapter 29: Lights, Camera, Action

Lukas's POV

I woke to the sound of a loud air horn.

"ALL CREW ON SET! CALL TIME IS 4AM!"I hear Chris yell from outside the trailer.

I rubbed my eyes and growled under my breath. It's too early for this. I followed behind the guys, who, like me were all slouching walking out the trailer.

"This continuing sadistic wake-up call is messing with the natural rhythms of my body clock. My mojo will be destroyed." Harold complained.

"I'm sure whatever 'mojo' I had has already been destroyed by season 1."I responded.

"Then consider yourself lucky that you have nothing else to lose."

On this show there's always something to lose... Like my life. 

Chris grouped us up outside the trailers and began lecturing us.

"You're on a film set now, and you're gonna learn that show biz is not all red carpets and pool parties. Today you're gonna get schooled on how tough on set production life can be."Chris said.

"Whatever, I can deal. I once had a summer job at a petting zoo. It's soooo adorable, everyone feeding the adorable goats their adorable cabbages. But somebody, i.e. ME, had to shovel up the less adorable end of the digestive process." Gwen glared.

"Wow. Tough break."I patted her shoulder.

"Speaking of number 2, It's time to pick your teammates and then try to stick it to the team your boyfriend chooses." Chris told her.

Gwen and Trent exchanged a look.

"We're not gonna get all competetive and nasty, are we?" Trent asked Gwen

"Of course not. We learned from last season. Right?" Gwen told him.

"Okay lets get this bloodbath started. You're gonna choose schoolyard style. Boy, girl, boy, girl. Ladies first. Since we have no ladies here, Gwen you get to pick first. And as a reward for coming back with your egg first, you get to pick two guys on your first draw. So, take your pick."Chris pointed.

"Oh, I don't know. Lukas and Duncan."Gwen pointed at us.

/Trent:"I can't believe she just went ahead and chose both Duncan and Lukas. I mean, the three of them are kinda alike. I was practically left out on the whole alien challenge between the three of them, and she gave Lukas her necklace yesterday. And now she wants to be on the same team as them, what am I suppose to make of that. You think you know a person."\ 

Me, Duncan, and Gwen shared a three way high five. 

"I choose, the beautiful Lindsay."Trent pointed.

"YAY"She cheered.

Okay, I know I'm not the best at relationships, but that was just uncalled for. Was he trying to annoy Gwen by saying that?

/Gwen:"'The beautiful'. What, was Trent trying to tick me off by picking Lindsay like that? You think you know a person."\

"Because I like to keep things cool, I pick Leshawna."Gwen smiled.

"The girls are back in town!" Leshawna high fived Gwen.

"I choose Justin."Trent pointed.

"Oh, pick all the good looking contestants. That'll get you far."Gwen said to Trent.

Wow. Thanks Gwen. Guess our team is full of ugly people.

"It will in show biz." Trent smiled.

"DJ." Gwen picked.
