He always seeks for her company, because she's warm in his hands and sweet on his heart.

No matter how many times he keeps their distance she would always find him, everytime he tried to hurt her to make her stay away, she would always come back unscathed, unhurt, indifferent.

Always the Kanzaki Aoi he has grown to love and hate.

They met in the era where demons lurk. There was no chance of any happy ending, or so he thought. They had managed to survive.

And he came home. Back to her, and he hoped she'd be the same, oh how he was so wrong.

After learning the death of Shinobu, she was broken. Her heart shattered into pieces no one could repair. She was just running on sheer willpower to help the remaining survivors.

But he was proven wrong, she made something for him. A meal just for his own. And he could always pretend he was impassive, even if he yearned for her attention, and longed for her touch.

He felt like he was being roasted. Burning sensation all over his skin, throat dry after thousand desperate calls of her name, it pains him at the thought of one unattainable Kanzaki Aoi. But that's how it has always been.

He was a bad omen for her. With him around her she would suffer. Because he was cursed.

They met in the modern era next. She's the same, yet she doesn't remember him. Like from past encounters. They would always meet, and he would always fall in love with her. And she would always forget.

She would die in his arms, or she would die before his eyes. It happened countless times, and everytime it would happen it would hurt more than the past. Because he failed to protect her. Over and over again.

But she would always come back. Without any memories, in a different world. So he tried to stay away, so they wouldn't meet and they both wouldn't get hurt.

He tried to stay away, and yet, she would always find herself near him. Die. And come back once again.

After the countless times it happened, he thought he'd go numb. Yet he didn't. If there was only a way, to break out of this loop. To break them both apart and nothing would hurt anymore.

Author's Note: This one was short because I'm starting to get really busy. Good thing I finished Accidentally on Purpose, but I'm starting a new story again, lol. Anyways, next oneshot will be SaneKana.
