***She never truly despised the world. Slightly. Because she always seemed to look at Kanae's eyes when looking at the mirror, and as if on reflex she would place a hand upon her own heart. Feeling slow beats like dancing on melancholic melody, dancing alone.
Kanae has always been a believer. That there is something to hope for in this forsaken universe. And Shinobu tries to believe too. But really, who is she kidding? Her sun, her ray of hope, her happiness. This universe took it all away from her. This universe rob her of happiness. So what is there to hope for?

He didn't loathe the world, he loathes himself instead. Because when he sees his reflection in clear waters, his heart seems to stop. He couldn't see a strong water pillar, his eyes could only perceive the people he has let down. The people that has been killed by his ignorance.
His sister. Who gave him something to dream. Urokodaki, who gave him a new home. Sabito, someone who showed him courage above all. And Makomo, the girl who showered him with love as much as his sister.
He could see them in his clear reflection. The people that the universe took away from him, just so he could be strong. But still his eyes would always perceive him as a feeble human being.

They are wildly different. And it's such a joke how they seamlessly fit together. Like a puzzle. They don't talk much, but in their defense no words are needed. No phrases to be exchanged. Because they are both empty, there is nothing to be said.
No praises to sing. No words of wisdom to tell. Advises would only mean insult. A word of never ending loyalty or commitment? Pathetic. Because they both know from deep within their bones, craved in their existence. The only one to complete Shinobu Kochou is to be with Tomioka Giyu, and the last love to protect for Tomioka Giyu is Shinobu Kochou.
And now, laying beside each other. The world finally seems complete. Everything is blank and the only one in their eyes are each other. Their beings meant the whole universe. Their land, their sky, with the stars and the moon in their eyes.
Even as they coughed blood it looks like lilies, their cuts and bruises like grass.
It didn't matter if they're dying. Even if one single 'I love you' never rolled out of their tongues.
They would be reunited with everyone else. That's why they don't need any pathetic words of farewell.

Author's Note: I don't even know about this one. This is just like some flowery dialogue or something.
