"The Mythology that you people have dismissed as a mere children's tale is true. Parts of it, at least. Zeus had created us, bellators, when there was a threat of war looming upon the world, endangering human race. Hades had dropped down animalistic species onto the Earth in order to transform all of the earthens into powerful beings ruled by their monsters. He wanted an army for himself after his siblings abandoned him after his abduction of Persephone. He wanted to make the whole world his kingdom, the people whom his family were to protect."
Lysandra bit her lip in disbelief as she mulled over everything spewing out of her said cousin's mouth. Maevis looked uninterested, despite the enthusiasm that she had showed a couple of seconds ago and Laurent looked at Lysandra plainly, his features a mixture of apology and sympathy. Strange, she quipped to herself, turning back to Maevis who put a halt to Seraphine's dialogue flow with a panicked shriek.
"Those bloody earthens are coming back!"
"I told you not to nick someone's room, malaka," Seraphine scolded, slapping the back of Maevis's head. "Is making a reservation so difficult?"
"I have my reasons, to be frank. It takes quite a lot of time and not to mention, the vulgarian at the reception wouldn't stop gawking at my legs."
Laurent twitched, stepping forward to stand in between the two bantering crows as he claimed them to be and knocked the fact that there was absolutely no time to be trivial matters as such into their heads. Maevis begrudgingly agreed with him, ushering the others to clutch each other's hands.
Lysandra was still in a daze, not knowing how to react to the undertakings that were slowly being revealed to her one after the other and somehow, Laurent Cirillo seemed as though he fit right in. He was no stranger to the world hidden right beneath their feet until recently and the fact that Lysandra would never admit aloud was that she oddly felt home despite the complete turn her life had taken. But, what she couldn't push away was the dread taking over her, the severe implications of the danger if every single truth was ever to be divulged.
"Hold on tight," Maevis warned and after a wave of an odd sort of dizzying, they were pushed into an empty, queer alleyway from the figurative sphere full of twisting array of colours. Before any time could be spared to cope from the possible teleportation, a voice waltzed into Lysandra's senses, getting her up, back onto her feet from the ground that she had collapsed onto.
"Lead the way," Seraphine instructed Maevis, who dragged Laurent along with her, leaving the other two girls to walk behind her.
"Naturally, Zeus was furious regarding the kidnap of his darling offspring and so was almost every God residing in Olympus. After the titans were defeated, it had taken the Olympians considerable time to spring back up, resulting in them deciding to avoid warfare unless they were drowning in a dire situation of helplessness. However, being the stubborn and ruthless God that Hades was, he was not ready to back off and wreaked havoc, exploiting everything that he could get his hands on." Seraphine continued, finding the perfect opportunity to speak as they walked out of the maze of deserted alleys.
