🏰🏰
It's been a few weeks since Kaia agreed to help plan Joshua's wedding.
She began with asking each member of the family, what they wanted in the wedding and made a list.
It was the final week of her preparations week and she needed to present a likable idea which both families would like.
A week ago, Joshua and Jenna brought her a vial. They had said their coven witch had made her a potion that would hide her true form from, others for at least six hours.
It had become a habit, to take the vial anywhere she went. When she asked about the reason behind the vial, they had told her that the other royal family, had a fued with the fairy race and they needed to hide her from them.
So she took the vial and kept it with her.
Kaia was busy in her room when the door opened to reveal Joshua standing in the doorway.
He looked disturbed and was panting very hard. He went and sat down on her bed sighing.
"What's wrong?" Kaia asks turning away from her planning.
"I wanted to do something, but now I know something about it and I don't know what to do." Joshua says sitting upright
"Well, what did you want to do?"
"I wanted to take back my blood, but now I don't to do it anymore."
"What did you find out?" Kaia asks trying to piece together the different clues.
"That my mother was protecting me and sacrificing my stepbrother."
"Okay... How?"
"She did a switching ceremony, using me and Jessi. But it turns out that I was born with a blood curse. I would die as soon as I turn 260."
"That's.... Wow. So what now?"
"I'm not going to do anything."
"Understandable. Since you're here. Choose a design and also ask the rest to choose a design they like best." Kaia says and turns around laying the designs out.
Joshua turns to Kaia and notices a faint scar on the back of her neck, as the rime passes it begins to become more clearer.
Before she could move away. Joshua places a hand on the back of the chair and on the table blocking her from moving, as he inspects the wound closely.
His sharp scent immediately floods into Kaia's nose and she holds her breath. A shiver runs down her spine and she visibly shakes.
Joshua seems too focued on the scar to notice her tensing up and then removes his arm, letting her breath slightly.
She clears her throat, and stands up. "Before I forget. Tomorrow is your musical ceremony. Please ask everyone to compile a list of all the songs they like. I want to use them at the ceremony tomorrow." Kaia says after slowing her heartbeat.
She turns around and comes face to face with Joshua. He was staring at the scar that seemed to grow, but then she turned around and he was suddenly looking down at her.
He knew that the spell will take a while where off. She looked at him and she knew he wanted something.
"What?" she asks stepping back a bit.
"Don't take the potion tomorrow." He says and walks away from her not wanted her to know the reason, fearing it might trigger something about her past, so he takes the papers with him.
"What?! Is he crazy. A fairy between nearly two hundred vampires. No way!"
She says and opens the file she had hidden away.
