Chapter 11 - EPILOUGE (Happy Ending)

Kaia wakes up from the bird tweeting outside her window. She sits up on bed and sees the sun starting to rise.

She moves the curtains away exposing more of the window and area around her.

She gets out of bed, walking as she feels the area, that had been a massive whole in her side a few years ago, start to pain.

Laying on one position for most of the night made her sore all over. She goes to the kitchen makes coffee and goes to sit on the porch.

She looks at the river a few meters beneath her and then climbs down from the tree house's stairs. She goes to the river letting the rather warm water run over her toes.

As she sits down she thinks of the last few years of her life.

When she woke up in the hospital, she was alone, heartbroken and terrified.

She wanted, no needed to see Joshua, even if he didn't want to see her.

She knew that she broke his heart, trust and faith, but she needed to explain.

Kaia was busy getting up from the bed, when she felt two hands grab her shoulders.

Looking up at the person touching her, she sees Adray.

"Wh-Whe... J-Jo..." Kaia tries to speak but, her throat was too dry.

Adray helps her sit back down but she continues to shake her head, trying to speak, but she only looked like a fish gasping for air.

"Calm down. Here have this first." Adray hands her a bottle of water but she continues to shake her head, trying to speak.

"If you don't drink this, how will I know what you want?" Adray says out smarting Kaia as she takes the bottle drinking nearly half of the water in a few seconds.

"Where's Joshua?" She asks and suddenly a sharp pain floods through her side.

"He's decaying." Adray says and Kaia looks at him bewilderd.

"What?! He can't die! I still need to talk to him!" Kaia says sgetting up from the bed but the pain shoots back through her again.

"Ahh!" she svreams and a nurse comes running into the room. The wound under Kaia's shirt had torn open, and they need to redo the stitches.

The had injected her with a sedative and Adray was on the phone with somone and Kaia was beginning to loose consciousness again.

Just before she closed her eyes she saw someone running into the room, fall down and then grab her hand before she passed out.

As soon as Joshua was woken up he was angry at dirst but seeing the smiles on thier faves, made him glad.

She was finally awake. Though he was still weak he went and ran straight to her hospital room.

He came into the room just as she started closing her eyes again.

He ran towards her and slipped on nothing, grabbing onto her hands just as she closes her eyes.

"What happened?!" Joshua asked fearing the worst.

"Nothing, we gave her a sedative. She should wake up in an hour or so." the doctor said and left the room with the nurse following him.

Joshua sees the blood spot on Kais shirt and then all he felt was guilt.

If he had jist listend to her calmly and not shove her around, she wouldn't have been here in the first place.

It's been nearly three hours since they gabe her the sedative and she still hadn't woken up. The only thing keeping Joshua says was the constant and rhythmical beeping of the machines Kaia was attached to.

Joshua was laying back on the chair when he heard the machine beeping pick up.

Turning around he sees Kaia trying to get up. He runs to her, hugging her as best he could, without hurting her further.

"I'm sorry I didn't yell you. I wanyed to but never had the courage. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I am so sorry." Kaia kept saying and the next part broke Joshua's heart further.

"I'll understand if you never want to see me again. I know how much you trusted me. I'll leave if you ask me too. I'm not eve-" he places his lips on hers keeping her from saying anything else.

"I love you too." Joshua says and Kaia starts bursting out in tears. She was wailing and she didn't know why. Somehow something felt strange.

A nurse comes into the room. Knocking on the door. "Are you Joshua and Kaia?" the nurse asks and they nods.

"We have a surprise."

"For us?" Joshua asks.

"No, from you..." she says and walks around the cornor

"From us?" Kai asks a confused Joshua and then the nurse came back. She was holding something in her hands.

She walked to Kaia and placed something in her hands. Kaia looks at the nurse bewildered before she explained.

"While we were running blood tests to see if you were allergic to anything, the blood test came back positive for pregnancy.

At first we thought the test was wrong so be did more test and all came back positive. The injury very nearly could have ended both your lives but you were both saved.

We kept you under constant watch for anything and last month, she came into the world.

We wanted to know what tou were planning on doing, before doing anything.

Are you going to keep her or...."

"Yes."
"Yes!"

Both Kaia and Joshua say in unison as the nurse nods leaving the baby bed inside the room.

"What are we going to name her?" Kaia ask and looks at Joshua

"Twaila."

"Twaila?" Kaia asks and Joshua nods "Why?" She asks again

"Because when you told me that you loved me. It was Twilight."
