Chapter 3

🌳🌳

At the city hall, everyone's gathered to see the different sons of the differnt families.

Kaia and Brian steps out of the car along with their families.

Brian and the rest of the royal family, break apart from Kaia and her family to go to the area reserved for the royals.

Kaia goes to the area where all the girls of the rights age are kept before the ceremony begins.

Kaia finds a seat near the back of the room and looks at all the different dresses the other girls are wearing.

After a few hours they are given numbers and it's fastened to their dresses.

They are taken to a large arena where everyone from the village was seated. Kaia takes in the large area looking for Brian amidst the onlookers.

Somewhere in the distance someone starts the ceremony by welcoming the different royal families.

The speech dragged on for a while before they started to explained the rules.

"1. Any girl who caused a ruckus, will be taken back to the waiting room, where she will stay until the end of the ceremony.

"2. No fights of any kind will be allowed.

"3. When asked a question or to dance, the girl cannot refuse to answer or dance.

"4. In the result of a girl being chosen by more than one boy, she will spend one day with each before she chooses a boy, instead of the boy choosing the girl.

"5. The boy who's not chosen by the girl will return and choose another girl.

"Let the ceremony commence. Boys you may come to the arena." The voice says and two big doors open revealing different boys, from the different clans.

Kaia waits at her seat for Brian and someone tugs her wings. Thinking that it's Brian she turns around smiling, but the smile wades as soon as she sees that it's nit Brian.

"Adray. Pleased to meet you." He greets with a bow. Kaia looks sceptical but greets back. "Kaia"

"Will you dance with me?" Adray asks as a smirk plays on his lips. He knows that she can't say no and he was hoping to get her sent away from here.

"Sure." She says standing up from the chair. In the distance she sees Brian, looking at them before storming away.

'Please let this dance end soon.' Kaia thinks to herself

Kaia takes Adray's hand and plaves her other on his shoulder, as he places on hand on her waist.

During the dance Kaia kept feeling Adray's hand moving, either lower or higher.

Before she could do anything she suddenly sees a hand touching Adray's shoulder.

Adray turns around and Kaia sees Brian standing there. A smile immediately finds itself on Kaia's lips

"I don't think she likes your roaming hands." Brian says and Adray pulls me closer to him, making me trip over his feet.

Adray catches me and looks at Brian with a scowl and frown. "I was promised two dances." Adray says and pulls me away from Brian.

Brian looks on in disbelief at Adray's stupidity. Brian had specifically told the seamstress to match his clothes with Kaia's. To make it obvious.

Brian finds a seat near where Kaia and Adray is dancing. He could see Kaia constantly looking at him, while Adray pulls her away to divert her eyes.

As soon as the second song ended, Brian was next to Kaia and Adray in a second.

Adray seems to ignore the fact and kept spinning Kaia. Kaia again trips over Adray's feet but before Adray could catches her, she was already in Brian's arms.

"Well, she 'promised' you two dance, but she promised me her hand. Now can you let go of my fiancé?" Brian  says and Adray looks at them confused.

Kaia pulls the chain that seemed to be attached to her dress away and at the end of the chain a golden ring with a white diamond hangs.

Adray leaves Kaia's hand and slowly walks away. Brian takes Kaia's hand and they continue to dance for the rest of the night.

An announcement is made that the boys will have to bring the girl they've chosen to the waiting area to announce at the end.

Brian pulls Kaia away from the other people taking them to the room from which the boy exited a while ago.

"I've chosen." Brian says and the women widens her eyes, writing down the names and numbers.

Everyone was called to the small stage and told to stand and wait for their names to be called.

Though there were a lot of girls present just seven could be chosen.

The seven royal sons were called to the front of the stage, where they stood and each gave a small speech.

In total there were 60 girls. They took six to the front where, if you're chosen you'd stay on the stage,while the rest went to sit down with the rest of the onlookers.

Kaia was among the final six and when she stepped out she saw that two princes were yet to choose. Bryan and Adrya.

Both Brian and Adray were walking towards her and she was very confused.

Adray knew that she's engaged to Brian but still he chose her.

"Looks like we have a double choosing, according to the rul-"

"Wait. I don't need to spend a day with each of them. I'll choose here and now." Kaia says and surprised gasps sounds through the arena.

"I choose Brian."
