Chapter 9

Every other night Joshua would come to her room and they would have sex, but each night was different, but with one thing in common, Joshua was still drinking.

There was a few hours left before Joshua's marriage, and Kaia felt even more restless.

She tried to get rid of the feeling, but it seemed to worsen as time went on.

Kaia walked into the room the bride had been kept in, but when she opened the door. The bride was gone.

She had called for Jenna but no one came. She thought of only one thing left to do.

She had to get married to Joshua, to safe his family from humiliation. She had called one of the servants, wrote a letter explaining the situation, and sent it to Jenna.

The wedding ceremony was completed. Joshua took his bride to the room and finally he could see the bride's face.

Lifting the veil, shock was written over his face and then he smiled.

It caught Kaia off guard and then she hears someone knock on the door.

Joshua opened the door and the royal family was standing outside the door, smiling.

"I don't understand. Aren't you mad?"

"Why would we be mad? There was never any other bride. We were testing you, and you passed." Jae says

"Wow." Kaia says and Joshua places arm around Kaia closing the door as he gives her kiss.

"I guess, switching blood with a vampire-fairy halfblood paid off."

After Joshua closed the door the three royals left the room and on their way to their seperate rooms, they see at least seven other people walking into the castle.

They greet them with a bow before dropping a bomb.

"We're looking for our daughter. Have you seen her?" The man walkimg in front asks.

"Who are you?" Jae asks and the man bows again.

"I'm Tion. Kaia's father."
