Nathaniel's POV
Two years ago
I stared across the table to look at my wife.she was not being her usual happy self.she knew that I mostly kept to myself when I was in public, so she was the one that always kept our date night lively.
"Honey are you okay"I ask concerned.
"Yeah am okay"she replies absent mindedly.
"Are you angry with me."
"Why would I be angry with you does everything revolve around you"Daniella says snapping out each word, gaining the attention of half of the people in the restaurant.
"Am sorry Nathan,am just having a bad day"she whispers apologetically.
"I understand. You know that I will always be there for you and you could always talk to me if something is wrong."
"I know Nathan,can we just go home,am exhausted"
"Okay"

Present day
Stepping out from my car, I spot a young girl running to my direction and shouting something that looks like 'mama where are you'
Looking at the girl,I guess she will be at least five or four years.
Parents really need to take care of their kids.she comes to my front and that's when I notice the tears in her eyes.she is about to leave my front but I stop her.
"Who are you looking for baby girl."
"Mama told me not to leave but I did not listen to her,she must be so worried"she said crying."please help me find my mama."
"Don't cry we will find your mama,where was she when you left her."
"Mama needed a job so she took me with her for her job interview,I don't know how to get there,Mama will be so worried,I don't want mama to be worried.I won't get ice cream anymore,she is going to be angry when she finds me and she won't give me ice cream because I disobeyed her"I pat her head and try to calm her down."I am going to help you find your mama but first let's get you some ice cream."
"I don't want ice cream, I want my mama"she shouts and rubs her nose as more tears falls from her face."okay I will help you find your mama do you Know the place she is having her job interview."
She scrunches her nose and start biting her nails then a smile breaks out on her lips"I don't remember but there was this grumpy lady there and the colour of the shop was blue...yes blue and they were saying something about manager."
"Ooh I know the place, the grumpy lady is Riley and we are not far from the shop,get in my car I will take you there."
She shakes her head refusing to enter my car,"mama said I shouldn't enter a stranger's car."
"Okay we will walk to the place" we walk for five minutes and she finally spot the place."that's the place mama is we have to be fast."
I enter the shop and spot Riley,so I walk up to her holding the girl's hand."hey Riley do you by any chance know where her mother is."
"Mr Groove,her mother left twenty minutes ago to search for her,you can leave her with me,her mother will probably come back"
"I do not mind waiting for her mother,tell Georgia to bring me my usual coffee."
I feel someone tugging on my suit jacket so I look down"sir we can't wait here.we have to go and look for mama"
"We can't leave,what if your mama comes back and we are not here" I asks but she decides to ignore my question.
"My name is Grace"she says out of the blue I am about to reply her but Georgia interrupt,"here is your coffee Mr Groove"
"Thanks,can you get the little girl some cookies"she nods and leaves.
"Nathaniel but you can call me Nathan"
Grace and I spent forty five minutes talking,the girl was a charter box and she did most of the talking but I notice that she avoided talking about her father,she was to smart for a girl which makes me think about Daniella, about how she should have been carrying my should if she was still with me.we continued talking until I heard a woman shout her name
"Oh my God Grace,you scared the hell out of me"
When I turn around to look at the woman I was speechless.

Scarlett's POV
What a fucking arsehole, i thought angrily.
The manager agreed to give me the job he had a condition only if I let him sleep with me,I was not that desperate to get a job so I instantly turned him down after cursing him to the Moon and back.
I stepped outside and I noticed that Grace was gone so I walked to the cashier"Where is my daughter,did she go to the bathroom?"
"I don't know,I am not your daughter's nanny l,I have work to do"
The pain I felt at that instant, was more than the pain i felt whenever Mason hits me,it felt as if my heart was going to stop beating,I would not be able to forgive myself if something happened to my Grace,my poor baby she wasn't very good with direction and she must be so scared. I couldn't stop the bad thoughts that kept coming. I am about to leave to search for Grace when the cashier stop me."she asked me something about an ice cream shop"she says then I run to the nearest ice cream shop but I don't find my Grace there,I check the pack and all the places she couldn't possibly go to when I don't see her I break down in tears.i couldn't stop the tears from Coming and I was very sure people passing by thought i was crazy then I decided to go to the coffee shop to check if she has returned back"
I see Grace's blonde hair when I enter the shop,she was talking to a man while eating cookies
"Oh my God Grace you scared the hell out of me"when she sees me,she runs to me and hug my legs. I crouch down to her position and hug her.
"Where did you go i asked you to stay right there but you left,I was worried,do you want to give mama a heart attack,I should spank you right now,I was so scary Grace I am going to lock you in the house the next time I go out" then I break down in tears.
"Mama am sorry,I couldn't wait anymore and I wanted to get ice cream so I left but Nathan brought me back"she apologize and that is when I notice a man standing i front of us. "Mama this is Nathan he brought me back and bought me cookies"
The man in front of me was handsome, Mason was nothing compared to him and Mason was given the title most handsome man back then in college He had dark blue eyes that seems as if he was reading my mind when he gazed at me,I couldn't stop myself from gawking, I snap out of my daydream when I hear his voice,I glanced downward and saw his hand outstretched towards me"I am Nathaniel Groove"I grab his hand and shake it,"Scarlett Anderson, thanks for taking care of my daughter"
"You are welcome,bye Grace I hope we meet again"
"Bye Nathan"she exclaims excitedly. I have never seen Grace so excited like that after meeting a new person,she always seems shy when she meets a person for the first time"
"Bye Grace it was nice meeting you"he says and walks out the coffee shop.
"You are in big trouble Grace let's go home"I say and leave the shop.
