“Nothing feels better than knowing your own worth and not depending on others.”
I am on my way towards becoming an independent woman which means my happiness solely depends on myself and in my choices. As an independent woman, I am starting to make my dreams turn into reality. At this age, I was able to renovate some parts of our house through my savings and I hope I can finish renovating the whole house as soon as possible. Honestly, I am thrifty most of the time but an impulsive buyer at times especially if I want to reward myself for achieving something like being on the Dean’s list or acing the exam. Fun fact, I love celebrating small successes. Going back, as an independent woman, I came to love myself more. I mean I enjoy my own company. I don’t need any more people’s validation. I just do everything that makes me happy without compromising others. I write poems or proses in the morning. I paint in the afternoon. I cook. And, I binge-watch movies every night. Really, it’s a different kind of euphoria. But then on, I am still guided by my parents. Let’s just say that my happiness is their happiness and their happiness is my happiness. At the end of the day, we cannot deny the fact that the strong independent woman I’ve become is also a by-product of my parents effort and love.
