One week later.
Jeno bit his lower lip nervously, casting a quick glance at his boss as they both stood in opposite corners of the elevator. He hadn't even realised that he had been ignoring and distancing himself from Donghyuck until now. He'd been too busy wrapped up in his thoughts all week to even realise the many, many times he had brushed the boy off when he tried to talk to him. The amount of times he had walked away when his boss was walking towards him. Crap, he probably thinks that I'm ignoring him. Ughh, nooooo.
He reached forward just as the elevator dinged and the doors started opening. His arm quickly retracted before even brushing the boy's coat as another employee stepped inside and bowed to the CEO before moving to stand next to him. And then it was silent.
After a few moments the elevator pinged once again before opening on the top floor. Donghyuck and Jeno quickly got out before heading towards their largest meeting room, which was only reserved for extremely important meetings.
Jeno could feel himself start to hyperventilate as soon as the door came into sight, his eyes moving around frantically, surveying the area as he tried to ground himself. It's fine. Everything is going to be fine. What could they possibly do anyways? I mean, I'm a full-grown, independent adult, they have no right to force me into doing anything against my will. Yes, they can't! ...... but... what if the-
He was swiftly snapped out of his train of thought as he bumped into the person in front of him. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't-"
His apology however was cut off as Donghyuck spun around, placing his hands on the boy's shoulders and roughly shoving him into the closest room, causing Jeno to stumble and fall on the floor.
"Alright, that's it, I've had just about enough of you for this week. What's up? What's going on? Why the fuck are you acting like this?" He glared down at the boy, hurt. "Seriously! You've been like this for a week! Get your fucking act together!"
There were a few beats of silence as Jeno bit his lip, contemplating whether or not he should just spill the secret he'd tried so hard to hide from Donghyuck, his precious Hyuck. Oh fuck it.
He thought, before reaching out to the other's hands, tugging him down onto himself before wrapping his arms around the boy's waist and pressing his face into the boy's neck, hugging him like his life depended on it because, well, it did.
"Wha-" the young CEO started as he tried to pull away and look at the other boy, who only tightened his grip in return.
"Lee Yoon-Bae is my dad" he said quietly, words slightly muffled, "and Lee Bin-Na is my mum"
Donghyuck froze. Lee Yoon-Bae? Lee Bin-Na? As in-
"And yes I mean the CEO's of One Shot, Lee Yoon-Bae and Lee Bin-Na"
What the fuck?!
Jeno kept his head buried in the boy's neck as he felt him freeze up. He stayed quietly as he waited for the boy to relax again into his embrace, which he did eventually, slowly moving his hands up to softly play with the secretary's hair.
"Why didn't you tell me before?"
"I was scared."
"Why?"
"I was scared you'd leave me when you found out. I thought you'd think I was a spy or something and that I was trying to sabotage your company."
"And are you?"
"No."
Donghyuck couldn't help but smile at the instant reply, "Why not? I bet they'd be extremely happy to know the details about my new product."
The words spilled past Jeno's lips before he could stop himself, "Yeah but they've treated me like shit all my life so why he fuck would I want to help them?" he looked up to smile at the boy in his lap, "Plus, I'm crazy in love with you."
Donghyuck grinned at that, a light blush falling over his features as he replied, "Luckily for you, the feeling's mutual."
