Chapter 37

Yssa's POV

I just finished calling my mom when a doctor approached me and my husband.

"Mr. and Mrs. Caisip, I will be honest. From now on, we want both of you to be ready no matter what happened because at this moment, we're not even sure about Assyrel's safe----"

"Dmn it! Hindi ba't doktor ka?! Gawin mo ang tungkulin mo!" Dred cut his words.

I hold his already clenched fist, then I look at his eyes. I whispers;
"Calm down."

I look at the doctor who's still patiently with us kahit pa sinigawan na sya ni Aldred.

The situation just flipped, kung kanina ay ako ang madalas na naghi-histerikal, ngayon ay si Aldred na. Kalmado na kasi ako.

"D-Doc, save her. P-Please save o-our d-daughter. Please." my voice crack while saying those words.

The doctor just nod at me while I'm looking at him hopefully.
Si Aldred naman halatang nagpipigil pa rin ng galit.

Sa ganoong senaryo kami naabutan nina Mama at Papa.

"Yssa!" Tawag agad nya habang lumalapit sa amin.

The doctor return inside the operation room maybe to give our family some privacy.

"Ma!" I hug her tightly as soon as she reached my place.

At this point, si mama lang ang siguradong pinaka-nakakaintindi sa nararamdaman ko, of course she's a mother like me.

Si Papa naman ay pinaupo na muna si Aldred.

"Aldred, huminahon ka hijo, walang maitutulong ang galit sa ganitong sitwasyon."

Tumango lang sya kay Papa at huminga ng malalim hanggang sa mapakalma na nya ang sarili nya.

My attention caught when my phone rings.

"H-Hello?" I called out. Overseas call kasi. Hindi naka-register sa phone ko ang number.

"Y-Yssa, Ren and I had a conversation after a long  years. Bes, ang sakit." The caller said while crying.
I guess I know who it is now.

"Ley, stop crying. Ano bang nangyari?"

I know I'm really at thorn right at the moment but alam ko rin na sa ganitong pagkakataon ay dapat lang na damayan ko pa rin ang kaibigan ko.

She's one of my friends after all. Sino pa bang magdadamayan kundi kami-kami lang, right?

"He came here to buy a dress which I endorse years ago. Noong una pa lang, as his gaze fell on me, ramdam kong galit pa rin sya sa akin tapos..."

And the rest is history.

Ley's POV

Habang ikinu-kwento ko kay Yssa ang mga nangyari, mabilis na bumabalik sa alaala ko ang mga naganap.

Reminiscing just brought back so much pain that makes me cry even harder.

I decided to bring Zorel with me dahil no choice ako. Mag-a-out of town daw kasi sina Janine at Eric together with their kids.

As I arrive on the meeting area settled by Renzo, nandoon na sya.
He look irritated.

I remember that he hates latecomers. As he saw me, he look at me with so much disbelief.

Mas minabuti kong lumapit na sa kinaroroonan nya dahil mas nagsasalubong ang kilay nya sa bawat minutong lumilipas.
