I was admitted to leave ...

I was admitted to leave the hospital the next day in the evening and was glad. Dad had stopped by the school earlier and had retrieved my things. Once I got home, I found a lot of text messages from Tristan, Hannah, Miley, and other kids that knew me. My Snapchat was also blown up as well as Instagram. I didn't have Twitter or Facebook and I was thankful for that.

I decided to get my friends' messages over with first. Miley asked if I was okay as well as did the others. I simply responded that I was fine and well and out of the hospital then I moved onto Tristan's.

"Everyone's saying the code blue is for you. Is that true?"

"Are you okay?"

"What happened? No one knows"

"Jasmine, call me as soon as you can, I'm really worried"

I sighed and clicked on his name, then I pressed call.

He picked up right away and his deep voice filled my brain. "Jasmine! Oh thank God you're okay. You had me so worried. Wait, are you okay? Oh my gosh I don't know what to do. I was in class and next thing I knew the school was under lock down for an ambulance and then kids were saying they watched a blue body be carried outside to the truck and then people were saying that it was you. I can't express how worried I was. I tried calling you but you weren't picking up. I began to think the rumors were true and by the end of the day they really were. Oh my gosh, Jasmine, please tell me you're okay,"

"I'm fine, Tristan. Thanks for worrying about me."

"I'm really worried about you."

"Wait, aren't you at work right now?"

"Yeah, but as soon as I saw your name I asked my boss for me to step out for a bit."

"So you gotta make this quick,"

"Yeah, but ... if you need to stay on, I will." I sat on a window seat in the family room looking outside which was painted with rain and a gray sky. It looked freezing. "Jasmine, what happened?" I shuttered at the thought of Josh and took in a deep breath.

"I can't tell you over phone."

"That's okay, I'll come by later tonight. Is that okay?" I nodded then realized he couldn't see that.

"Yeah, I'd like that."

"Alright, then I'll see you later,"

"Bye,"

"Bye."

I waited patiently for Tristan to get off work and come over. I didn't have to wait long, though, as he only had two hours left. I read a book in the meantime and watched a movie with my sisters. Dad worked from home but today he was gone talking to the school and the district about my case. Dad had pictures taken of my bruises and had the doctors make note of my mental state. My family planned on bringing Josh down. I wanted to feel bad, but couldn't. He's getting what he deserves.

When the doorbell rang, I jumped off the couch and ran to the door. When I opened it, I smiled brightly at the sight of Tristan, he smiled back and I felt like all my worries disappeared.

Tristan was here.

He held out his arms and I hugged him. He lifted me a foot off the ground and I readjusted my hold around his thick neck. He held me tight with a hand on my head and another around my waist. He didn't ask about anything. Which I highly appreciated. He knew exactly what to do and how to do it.

"Hi," I muffled into his shoulder.

"Hi," he responded into my neck and hair.

My hair was down and I was dressed in baggy sweats and a sweatshirt that once fit me. I pulled the strings so tight on the waist that they didn't look right on me. But I still wore them and I didn't really care to dress up for Tristan, in fact I cared more about the house being clean and my family behaving themselves around him.
