Chapter 36

(y/n'sPOV)

I was tossing and turning in the bed finding it hard to go back to sleep.I glanced at my wall clock the time was 5:57 am.I haven't slept for almost 3 hours.I looked up into th ceiling with a sigh "Why...just why whould they lie to us...Why am I thinking of this?!Lady Bish must be making things up for me–us to hate them...Should I confront them about it?Or should I tell Ava first?And what about the book with me?Why must this be so difficult!!"I started kicking on the bed and punching the pillow.

When I heard a knock on my bedroom door."Princess (y/n) are you alright?I heard banging and muffling in there"I heard the person behind my door asked.Which made me stop whatever I was doing.

"U-uh..Y-yeah!Just c-can't sleep.."I answered.
Which kinda made me flustered how a person heard me this early in the morning.

"May I come in?"They asked.I looked around my room which was a mess.I quickly cleaned up my room,and put my things back into place.

"Y-yeah you can come in!"I exclaimed as the door cracked to see Rhys,with his messy hair,glasses tilt to the side abit,him wearing his renaissance style pajamas.He looked like he just woke up from his sleep.I blushed at the sight of him'Oh my Irene he looks so adorable–Wait huh?'I shaked my head.

He closed the door behind him and walked towards me.Both him and I stared into eachothers eyes as he walks towards me.He then sat down on my bed beside me."Princess..what's with all the noise?Are you alright?"He asked me with tired eyes.

"I just had a nightmare..that's all..nothing to worry about it"I said hugging my legs infront of my chest.I glanced at him,he looked like he didn't beleive a single thing I said.

"Really?I hardly doubt it...I know when someone is lying.."He said with a small smile.

'Huh?Reaaallllyyy?Well then the sorceress thing Ava made up really was convincing..'I giggled at the thought of it.Which made Rhys tilt his head to the side.

"What's so funny princess?"He asked me clearly confused.I wiped off a tear and looked at him smiling.

"Nothing just remembered something really funny that's all"I said as I stopped giggling.He smiled and yawned.

"So tell me...what is the matter?I want to help you.."He said as he grabs my hand to make me look at him straight in the eyes.I quickly avert my eyes away since I was pretty embarrassed.

'Should I tell him?He's trustworthy enought right?Or should I just ask them as a group instead...'I thought and decide what to say to him."Okay...I'll tell you..their is this side of me that feels like your lying to us..that you guys shouldn't be trusted..and I don't know what to do...I think you guys are good that will do anything to help your people...I'm so conflicted...If I should listen to the side of me that feels like you guys are lying to us..or not"I stated looking at him with sad and confused eyes.

He on the other hand seems calm yet shock from what I just told him.He then places his hand on my cheek and starts to caress it.
"Why whould you think that?Where did you get this idea from?"He asked me clearly worried about me.

"I...had a dream..that you guys were lying to us about the horrible monster that will destroy your world,and instead you came hear just for our magic..."a single tear run down my face."I want to beleive it's just a dream but...I just feel like that's what you guys are doing..lying to us.It hurts just being used by a friend that you trust so much and care deeply about.."I said.

He wiped my tear away as he smiled."It's alright...it was just a dream...also we whould never lie to you...promise.You and princess Ava are dear to us,we care for the both of you and we whould never lie well maybe Leif whould..heh"He said which made me smile abit.I hugged him tightly.

"Thank you...that means alot Rhys.."I said when I felt arms around my waist as his face burried into the crook of my neck.

"Don't need to thank me princess..I'm just happy to help"He answered as we stayed like that for about five minutes without talking,and was really awkward five minutes.
Then Rhys breaks the ice between us.He let go from the hug and re adjust himself on the bed.

"Well..the book you recommended to me was really interesting...I do like the plot of the story.The characters has so much depth into them..I'm really fond of this character in particular,The witch of the forest Hyria was it?She's a really wise and powerful witch."He said.

"Heh I knew it..wait your that far into the story?!Damn..you read fast.."I grumbled as he chuckled.

"I just like reading that's all,who is your favorite character in the book princess?"He asked me.

I placed my index finger on my chin "Hmmm...I think Katelyn the fire fist she's really cool!"I said with a smile.

Rhys and I go on and on talking about the book and it's characters which was really fun.I then yawned and looked at the time which was 6:52 am I plopped myself on the bed as Rhys looked at me confused.
"You seemed tired...why don't you go back to sleep since it's abit too early..."He said in a soothing voice.

"Alright...we should really hang out more..your fun to be with Rhys..well night or morning.."I closed my eyes and went back to sleep.As I heard the door from my room close.

(Rhys'POV)

I closed the door to her room and went to the living room as I sat down at the couch.Thinking about what (y/n) told me about her dream.'Does she know something that we don't know?What is she hiding from us?I'm not sure if she's telling the whole truth...'I rubbed my temple in frustration.

I looked back at her bedroom door with a frown on my face."I feel terrible for lying to the princesses..but we have no choice..it's for the greater good of Daemos...even if we have to sacrifice the ones we care about.."I said to myself with regret and sorrow.

"Rhys?"A voice said,I looked to see who called me.

"Prince Asch why are you up so early in the day?"I asked him.

"I felt something off around here and I thought of checking it out.."Asch answered leaning against the walll.

"Ahh I see..."I sighed as I lean back against the couch relaxing my body.

"So..why are you here?You seemed stressed...what's wrong?"Asch asked me which surprised me a little how sympathetic he is I didn't show it I kept my poker face.

"I heard noise coming from princess (y/n)'s room.She told me she had a nightmare..or some sort.."I explained.

Asch eyes wided abit he looked concerned.
"Is she alright now?"He asked.As I nodded with a small smile.

"Yeah she is..but something is different about her...she some how knows about the magic crisist in Daemos"I said in a serious tone.Asch eyes wided even more he then walked up to me his hands make a fist.

"W-what how?!"He exclaimed but not loud enough for everyone to hear.I shushed prince Asch for him not having an outburst.

"She told me it was a dream..but I think she's not telling me the whole truth...what should we do your highness?"I asked him.He looked away as he grind his teeth.

"I don't know.."
