Chapter 18 : Wait For Me

The school bell rung, indicating that it was time for lunch. Chaewon quickly kept her books and went over to the rooftop, where she knew Minju would be waiting for her.

The rooftop became a hideout for the two of them with no one to disturb their time together. It was away from the busy corridors, with only the wind breeze blowing softly against them.

"Hey" Chaewon mumbled as she hugged the girl looking at the scenery from behind, nuzzling her face into the back of her neck.

She felt Minju flinch a bit before leaning onto her after realizing who it was.

"Hey" the girl replied as she turned around and gave Chaewon a soft peck on her lips "Come on Let's eat"

Minju tugged the girl to sit down, before unpacking her lunchbox.

"I made food for you" She shyly said as she handed over a lunchbox to Chaewon.

And....... Chaewon couldn't help but let her jaw drop at the sight of it.

"I-is this even edible?" She thought to herself as she saw the state of the food.

"How does it look?" Minju asked her with hopeful eyes.

Chaewon being Chaewon, didn't have the heart to criticize the state of the food.

"I-it looks amazing Min"

She saw the way Minju's face lit up at her words. Some white lies wouldn't hurt.

Chaewon forced herself to pic up the chopsticks and take a piece of meat before putting it into her mouth.

It was salty. Way too salty.

"How does it taste?"

The older hive tried to cover up her scrunched face with a smile, putting up a thumb.

"D-delicious"

"Really? Let me have a taste"

"NO" Chaewon stopped her before she could eat some "Eat the lunch your mom packed you. I'm finishing what you made by myself"

Minju chuckled at Chaewon's actions and softly kissed her cheek.

"I love you"

"I love you too" Chaewon replied with a smile.

There's no way she's going to break up with the girl.

(After having lunch, the couple was going back to their classes when Minju spoke.

"You finished everything. Maybe I should make you lunch everyday"

Chaewon abruptly stopped when she heard that. As much as she loved Minju, she might end up getting food poisoning if she ate more.

"N-no it's fine. You'll be t-tired")

Hyewon inserted the code to her apartment before unlocking it and going inside.

"I'm home" She called out, smiling softly when she saw the love of her life typing furiously into the laptop.

Putting down her bag onto the sofa, she made way towards the girl.

"What are you so focused on?" Hyewon hummed as she peeked at the laptop.

On it was a report about the CEO of the biggest fashion company in Korea and all suspected illegal doings of his.

"This" Eunbi replied as she groaned "We've known that he's got some shady business going on but there's no solid evidence..... We've deployed someone to track him though...."
