I woke up the next morning to an alarm I set for 8 AM. I had a doctor's appointment to check on the 2 bullet wounds I got on my last mission, one in my shoulder, and the other in my abdomen. It was just to check if it was healing properly. I sat up on the couch extremely grumpy and all I wanted right now is coffee. When I realized I didn't call happy last night before I fell asleep. I immediately started looking for my phone. When I found it, I noticed that it was already 8:30 AM. So I jump up and start getting ready for my doctor's appointment while charging my phone. By 8:45 I was all
ready. I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a banana off the counter to hold me over until later, and walked out to my truck and got in. I turned the key but it wouldn't crank so I did it again and again till it roared to life. I drove about 15 to 20 minutes to the Tacoma memorial hospital. I parked and then went in to the building to sign in. The nurse at the front desk told me to wait to be called. I was sitting maybe 2 minutes before someone sat beside me. The lady said "you look like you're been through some things, can I ask why your here". I explained to her about me being in the military and said to her "I have to get my bullet wounds checked". She nodded and looked at me with a motherly look and said "I bet you parents are proud of you". I just said "oh I never knew my parents, I grew up in bouncing from foster home to foster home". "Oh I'm sorry honey" she said "it's fine" I said. Then I asked for her name and she told me her name was Maria lowman. I said to her my name was Keira and than realized her last name was the same as Happy's. I looked at her said "do you know someone named happy". She looked at me surprised and said "yes I do know happy he's my son, how do you know happy". "I met him yesterday" I said. "He seemed like a nice man, I gave him my number" I said. She looked at me said " well my son needs a nice women like yourself". Right then the nurse called me back. So I got up to go when I decided to say something to Maria I said "it was nice to meet you maybe we could keep in contact and gave her my number". I smiled at her then turned to go with the nurse. The appointment went well and I ended up getting some medicine for my PTSD and for pain. When I left I decided to finally call happy
So when I got in my truck and set my phone on a clip connected to the dashboard. Then I called happy and put it on speaker. It rang a few times before he picked up.
