* Chapter 12- Gamer Girl *

The whole ride back to my house, Mia stared out the window, lost in her thoughts. Max was curled up into a ball on her lap, fast asleep. I smiled; the only reason that little devil likes me is because he can smell the wolf scent on me. It was pretty amusing seeing how Mia thinks Max likes me more then her, and how jealous she got.

I sighed, turning my attention towards the road.

"Are we almost there?" Mia asked, turning to look at me. We've only been in the car for thirty minutes, but it most likely felt longer for her since she was deep in thought.

"Yeah, only about fifteen minutes", I responded, keeping my eyes on the road. I saw her nod her head out of the corner of my eye, before she turned her body back towards the window.

I decided to flip the radio on, considering it was "our thing." It was some random country station, but I didn't temper with it since Mia tapped her fingers to the beat of the song.

I pulled into my driveway fifteen minutes later, just like I said I would. I grabbed Mia's suitcase from the trunk and she grabbed Max, along with some of her handheld belongings.

I unlocked my door and shut it after Mia walked in, setting Max on the floor. He ran around and sniffed everything, catching my scent. No doubt he would try and 'mark his territory'. I intended to keep my eyes on him just to make sure he didn't pee all over my expensive wooden floors.

"Here, I'll show you the guest room." I picked up Mia's suitcase and smiled warmly at her before proceeding to walk up my stairs. The guest room was right next to my room, which was very convenient for me.

I set the suitcase down on top of the neatly made bed, quickly turning around to see Mia's expression.

My house was not small, nor were the rooms inside it. The guest room was almost the full size of my room, just short a couple feet and lacking a jacuzzi in the bathroom.

Mia smiled brightly at the room she would call her own, nodding at me from the doorway.

"Wow, I didn't know it would be this huge", she said, causing me to chuckle.

"That's what she said", I mumbled quietly to myself, oblivious to the fact Mia heard me. She snorted and covered her mouth with her hand, suppressing her beautiful laughter.

"Sorry, it's just that my friends in school would always say that to me. I was never the type to say something dirty, and it was like déjà vu for a minute." I smiled at her and she returned the favor, her cheeks a light red from laughing.

"Alright well, this is all your room. Put whatever you want wherever you want, and don't hesitate to ask me where something is. Mi casa es su casa."

She nodded her head at my words and walked over to her suitcase, unzipping it. I took that as the sign to leave so I did, shutting the door lightly behind me. I slowly began to walk downstairs, deciding to leave Mia alone for a couple hours. She needs to have some time to unpack, as well as get used to her surroundings.

I walked over to my TV and hooked up my Playstation 4, popping one of my new games in. I grabbed my wireless controller and walked over to my gaming chair, taking a seat in it. I instantly got into my serious mode, blocking out anything that could possibly break my concentration.

I growled loudly, throwing my controller at the couch across the room. The TV screen in front of me read 'dead' in bold letters, making me angry. I always make sure the combat in my video games is set to the most difficult level; I loved the challenge it gave me, especially when I'm winning.
